We booked a last minute holiday the day before we flew and took a chance on it being okay. First off the staff were lovely, especially Jimmy the manager and Mike the cafe bar guy. Seen reviews that said staff were surly and ignorant? Not in our case but we made the effort to speak to people and smile so you get what you put in. 😁 The hotel itself is very dated and gardens overgrown but the pool area is cleaned every night and our kids loved it. Not cold at all and no trouble getting a lounger. The loud music starts about 10am and goes on till 11pm. We didn’t mind so much but it was all aimed at the predominantly Turkish, Azerbaijani, Belarusian and Kurdistan guests, we were the only English people there. The only bar was at the end of the pool and unless you knew it was there would easily miss it. It was very dark and overgrown and the selection was very limited. However, there was no limit on how many drinks you could get which was good as the small plastic cups didn’t hold much. Okay if you had a beer as these were in a proper glass. The area round the reception desk was comfortable and there’s free WiFi throughout although it didn’t quite reach our room in the villas. There were areas in darkness which looked unfinished but looking at the website these used to be bright and had other shops and things here. Not sure what’s happened. The first floor has two doors which have the names of 2 bars on them but you can’t go in and they both look like building sites? Again not what the website suggests. So, that’s the positives. I’m not a complainer but you need to be aware that the food available is very bland and not what the website would have you believe. There was a small salad, cold meats and cheeses selection every morning for breakfast. A small selection of cereal, some sort of weird sausage thing and an egg dish and that was it. No toast, no bacon or beans or anything you’d recognise as an English person. The coffee from the machine was the best part in my opinion. Lunch and dinner were much the same but you’d have a pasta option and a sauce, no meat in it, and on the evenings there’s an outside grill that did chicken or fish. I don’t have a lot of fried food but I’d have expected chips at least. There was watermelon and cake available which other guests seemed to love as you’d see them piling plates high with the stuff! We used the cafe bar a lot in the evening as they did lovely freshly prepared chicken kebab, pizza, hotdogs and chips. We didn’t try the meatballs or burgers but our food was lovely. You have to pay for it here though but it’s not expensive. Mike was great and he comes to find you when your food is ready, we didn’t expect that and it was a nice touch. Our room was awful I can’t lie. The toilet wobbled and had a smell of drains every day. It stank. The tiles in the bathroom were dark brown, the one small window didn’t close properly and no daylight came in and the single light fixture had dirt and dead flies in it. The
