There is an assortment of coffee, tea, cider and hot chocolate. The refrigerator is stocked with water, cream, juice, string cheese, milk and yogurt. An assortment of cereals and baked goods is provided. In the family room there is a dining table, chairs, two comfortable recliners and a large flat screen TV. The book cases contain many Alaskan books for your enjoyment during your stay. At the end of a busy day relax and enjoy the comfort of bamboo sheets in either the Eagle or Raven Suite. The Eagle Suite is 200 square feet, has a queen sized bed, 78 square feet en suite bath with tub and dual shower heads. There is a reading area and a flat screen TV. Visit the Shrine of Saint Therese, which is only 13 miles away. If you want to walk a wonderful trail along the Mendenhall River, it's just 1/4 mile away. If you stay at our home, you're centrally located for all that Juneau has to offer. About our home. It's situated on a large lot with a "tiki" deck in the front where you can sit back and relax while enjoying an early morning coffee, or a late evening drink while watching the stars. Well, not really, as it'll most likely be too light to see the stars. However, fall and winter stargazing is amazing if it's not raining.Don't be surprised if you're visited by bear, deer or a porcupine during your stay. We usually see quite a few each summer as the house is surrounded by woods.Off the family room you can enjoy a large deck (16' x 40') with a BBQ under a covered area. That way you can BBQ rain or shine. There is hot tub at the end of the deck, but unfortunately it is currently not functional. Hope to have it working, or replaced, by next summer. We have a large open yard that is surrounded by trees and views of Mt. McGinnis. Mt. McGinnis borders the left side of the Mendenhall Glacier. You'll have access to everything in the 2200 sq/ft house except the garage, storage pantry and owners bedroom suite. Upstairs, you'll find: - Two bedrooms - one with a queen Tempur-Pedic bed and the other has a full-size bed. Each room has a TV and a closet. - Full bathroom with tub/shower combo, sink, and toilet.- A "loft" area with a full-size bed, treadmill, and TV. - Washer and dryer. Downstair,s you'll find: - A great room with a kitchen, family area, and dining area.- A beautiful granite countertop kitchen and pretty much everything you need to cook at home if you prefer.
