Hotel in zona Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, Johor Bahru

Z Hotel has been on my list for so long and finally managed to stay here. Although I was a bit disappointed that the pictures were not the same as the room that we got, it was still spacious and everything worked - even the fridge, Yes!! Thankful for the high floor given to bask in the surrounding scenery at night and sunrise in the day. Walking distance to Pasar Karat was a blessing for these tired legs. With minimal time, we were at the heart of the night bazaar and enjoying everything.

Un appartamento molto bello e pulito! Host era molto comprensibile perché l'app forniva in modo errato un check-in precoce alle 10 per noi, (osservi che il check-in in tempo sarà alla standard 3pm), ma ha rapidamente pulito dopo l'ospite precedente ha lasciato e ha provato il suo meglio per lasciarci controllare in asap. view Bene, tutto è stato come descritto, TV ha netflix e youtube per noi di guardare :) tutto è stato pulito e in buone condizioni in generale! solo che, come menzionato da altre recensioni, Quando si accede, chiamali invece di aspettare che rispondano per via di testo perché devono venire a casa per ricevervi.Abbiamo chiamato e sono arrivati immediatamente, quindi non ci sono problemi :)

È un po' stanco quando si fa il check-in, ma nessun problema, la sicurezza è stata molto utile per guidare e mostrare dalle chiavi e carte dalla casella di posta fino alla posizione di parcheggio ur. Sono fornite attrezzature di base, ma se si presenta con la famiglia, non si preoccupa, sono fornite utensili per la cucina di base. Servizi di base da tovaglioli, scarpe da letto e asciugamani r forniti ma senza ferro e pannelli di ferro. Per me piace, ma per alcuni altri, è come dormire su una pila di scatole di cartone 😂.. delusione non è vista sul mare come mostrato sulla foto & parcheggio è seriamente stressante 😕... complessivamente, soddisfatto con il soggiorno.

Stayed for a night in Holiday Inn hotel as we sent the car for servicing at the workshop. There was a long line during check in even at 3pm. Rooms were not ready. But they did service recovery by giving free food at the restaurant near the lobby. Cleanliness wise was disappointing. There was blood stains on the pillow cover so I guess they didn’t even change the covers of the bed. Not to mention that the pillows smell awful. This is not my first time staying in holiday inn and I hope they improve their cleanliness standards. Holiday Inn, please look into this matter.

Fives Hotel Meldrum is a newly opened property in October 2023. It is 850m by walk from Johor Bahru Customs. To get to the hotel, you would need to use the link bridge near the customs that leads to R&F Mall. Just before reaching the mall, head down from the bridge and walk towards the direction of Grand Blue Wave Hotel (GBW). The property is located beside the back of GBW. A 24hrs security personnel is stationed at the main entrance of the hotel. Upon my arrival, the Front Desk Staff had requested a RM200 deposit for my check in registration. The rooms are situated from the first to ten floors. There is no fourth level in this building. I was accommodated in a Standard Queen Room (No. 311). Although the room offers a window, it faces the wall of a building. There is an ongoing construction site located beside the hotel, which I perceived to last for another year or more. Unfortunately, the construction noise is audible which only ended at 10pm during my weekday stay. I later approached the Night Manager and paid a RM40 upgrade to stay in a Standard King Room with no window (No. 308). There is no noise as this room is located in the middle section of the building. Local, Singapore TV and Malaysian radio station channels are available for entertainment in the room. The SMART TV also offers Netflix and YouTube. There are two USB charging ports and three power sockets for your mobile device charging needs. The air-conditioner functions well and keeps the room cool. Shower gel, shampoo with conditioner, toothbrush and paste are provided. The shower head is fixed to the bathroom wall. I found the water pressure to be acceptable, but the temperature is lukewarm. A-lar carte breakfast is offered at RM25 per person, though I did not consume my breakfast at the property. Nearby the hotel, there are several coffeeshops located behind a public carpark that serve breakfast. Among them is Restoran Ah Bee Bak Kut Teh (Pork Ribs Soup) which is a popular eatery among the locals. There are also convenience stores and halal eateries located within walking distance from the hotel. Connoisseur Food Generation, a trendy food court is situated a 5-min walk from the hotel. This place has many food stalls that offer a wide variety of cuisine. There is also live band during my dining there. Whilst the location may not be perfect, Fives Hotel Meldrum is great for those who are seeking something new and an affordable stay in Johor Bahru.

We have been to Amari around 5 years ago. It is still as clean comfortable and exceptional in services. But but, 1 thing to note. They have a smoke detector install right in the middle of the room. And the smoke detector has a green LED light that blink periodically. If you sleep in full darkness, that led light is terrible. We had a bad sleep due to the light in the first night. The next morning, i called for help and they offer to tape the green light away using masking tape. It become much much better for us. Also to add in, maybe the hotel can look into sustainability. I need to open a new pack of toothbrush just to get the toothpaste. The toothpaste is pretty tiny for me. Shower gel and shampoo can also work toward huge bottle rather than tiny tube. Would be nice to have laundro in hotel. Other than this, this hotel is really good. Good service and buffet spread.

First of all, the hotel is brand new. The hotel is very close to the JB city centre yet located in a very quiet surroundings. Secured indoor parking. The 2 Bedroom Suite is definitely worth every penny...extremely generous in space, a very functional kitchen, spacious dining area and living room. Would definitely come back with family & kids as they have a nice kids pool at level 5 with nice view of Johor straits & also Singapore!

Room was cleaned and neat, but the plug beside the telephone was not working 🙁 Bed and pillows were quite comfortable 👏🏼 More variety of food for breakfast. The reception staff helpful and polite 👍🏼 Enjoyed the live band at Bali nite cafe 😁 Overall enjoyed the stay here.

A cheap and clean hotel, easy to get to and has plenty of parking. Not far to Johor Bahru city center and Sultanah Aminah Hospital. Restaurants are also plentiful in this area including a 24-hour convenience store. To get to Larkin Public Transport Terminal and Urban Forest Recreation Center is also close. The room price is also reasonable and stay here once
