Verdegreen Hotel | João Pessoa

We had a wonderful stay at the Verdegreen Hotel! The cleanliness was impeccable, it’s well-maintained. The amenities were top-notch, providing everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel’s location was perfect—close to key attractions while still offering a peaceful atmosphere. Most of all, the friendly and attentive staff truly made the experience exceptional.

Lovely hotel great location, very clean with excellent facilities. Breakfast was superb, room was fine with very good A/C. Nice little pool and seating area with lovely bar service. Had no problems at all , room was tidied and bed made every day even when not requested . Literally a 5 second walk to the beach .

I would like to start this review by stating that my wife and I loved Joao Pessoa - this hotel only does a diservice to the beautiful city in which it is located, by mistreating their guests and making them feel like they were ripped off, but the city and the beach itself are wonderful places to visit. We arrived to the resort, with reservations paid for online, only to be told at the front desk that we would have to pay 10% more because -they said- my wife made the reservation "under the senior discount" and we are not senior citizens. My wife assured me that when she made the reservation using the English version of their online web site there was no such reference that the offered rate was for senior citizens. We didn't make a fuss out of this and simply paid (because we could) but right off the shoe, the magic was gone and the front desk people (none who can speak any decent English at all) were in my opinion shady and unprofessional, not a pleasant experience. That same day upon check-in we grabbed our dirty laundry, placed it in a bag, and proceeded to bring it downstairs to the main lobby to be washed, but the front desk person stated that they had no staff to take on these laundry orders (??!!!) and the order would not be ready until a day after we would have checked out. This is not 4-star service (not even 3-star service, mind you). We then decided to take a quick drive around the beautiful town of Joao Pessoa and, upon our return to the hotel later that day, we were met with a jammed-packed, chaotic parking lot scene where there was nowhere to park, even though we had specifically asked (before making our reservations) whether the hotel would guarantee a secure area to park our rental SUV. We had to wait some 10-15 minutes until another staff member came to the parking lot to move a vehicle so that we could park ours - again, not 4-star service, not even close. Back to our room on the top floor, we immediately noticed the air conditioning was not working properly - it was not cooling down to at least 24C and we knew this because we always bring a thermomether on every trip we do) and as much as we'd wanted to get the comfort temperature in the room that we paid for, at full fare, by then we were so disgusted with the staff and their very poor service that we decided to wing it - we were only planning a two-day stay at this resort anyway and we just didn't have any faith in the support that we would get from the hotel staff in the event we'd place a complaint about the faulty room AC unit. Again, not a 4-star experience. The next morning we went downstairs at barely after 9am and asked for two beach chairs and a beach umbrella only to be informed that they were out of beach umbrellas, which in itself makes it impossible to enjoy the beach under the scorching hot temperatures of 100F+ during carnival season. We went to the hotel next door and a very nice guy rented a very large umbrella and two beach chairs, $3 USD out of pocket. B

- Service excellent : check-in anticipé et check out tardif sans frais, changement de chambre facile pour avoir vue sur la mer, personnel très disponible et gentil qui répond à toutes les demandes (y compris des préparations pour le petit déjeuner 5 minutes avant la fermeture du service) - Très bonne localisation au début de Manaira, proche du cœur touristique de Tambau (quelques minutes à pied) sans en subir l’agitation. - Vue excellente des chambres sur la mer - Nourriture très bonne servie toute la journée - Hôtel à taille humaine, restaurant bien décoré, joli patio intérieur qui distribue les chambres et donne le sentiment d'être à l'extérieur - Les 2 seuls points faibles de l’hôtel : piscine plutôt simple comparée à d’autres établissements et service de blanchisserie cher - J’ai beaucoup aimé, un des hôtels que j’ai beaucoup apprécié au Brésil que j’ai beaucoup visité !

Muito bom. Desde o momento da chegada até o check-out, eu e minha família fomos extremamente bem atendidos por toda a equipe, que demonstrou muita simpatia em cada detalhe. O quarto é muito aconchegante: espaçoso, decorado e com uma cama confortável. A limpeza muito impecável, e todos os dias as arrumações eram feitas com muito cuidado. O banheiro também merece destaque, com produtos de higiene de qualidade. A estrutura do hotel é ótima. A área da piscina é agradável, com ambiente tranquilo. O café da manhã é delicioso, variedade incrível de comidas típicas, tudo muito fresco e saboroso. Outro ponto positivo é a localização. O hotel está muito bem situado, próximo a restaurantes, lojas e pontos turísticos, o que facilitou muito o nosso deslocamento. Recomendamos este hotel! Foi uma experiência incrível e certamente voltaremos a João Pessoa, cidade linda!
