Sheraton Grand Xishuangbanna Hotel

It’s a good Sheraton for Xishuangbanna level. Chinese oriented. In winter times - outside pool not heated, water is cold. Many locations for kids to spend time. We stayed over CNY. The hotel didn’t secure that all checked-in guests have a possibility for a dinner on the CNY’s eve. We could have dinner only on a second wave around 8:30pm but many dishes looked pretty much messy/badly touched by then. In general we liked our stay, the staff took very good care of us and was friendly. Feels like a lack of management to bring it to the better level.

The hotel was even better that what we were expecting. The facility is beautiful and the amenities are amazing. Everything is available on site and if you like exercising and relaxing … this hotel will be the best choice for you. Amazing gym open 24h with all the necessary equipments, the indoor pool is clean with a good water temperature for your daily swim. You also have a clean sauna, hammam and hot bath available in the changing rooms (plan to turn it on 20mn before to use it when you will need). The hot springs are just outside the gym so it will be perfect to relax after a day visiting Xishuangbanna. The outdoor pool is nice and clean ( perfect if you go on a family holidays with kids ). The room is spacious and comfortable. The cleaning staff and the rest of the team at the reception, restaurant … were all amazing and did everything to make our stay to be memorable. The restaurant even offered us several times some additional western dishes to make us happy. Ariel added my contact before our arrival to check if we needed anything and helped us during the stay. The breakfast was diverse and very tasty( the pain au chocolat and croissant were delicious). We have tried the dinner buffet once which was good but more Chinese dishes. The hotel is about 25/30mn from downtown so it is convenient if you want to be in a peaceful place but still near by the main attractions. You will need to travel a bit longer to go to the wild elephant valley, the primitive forest and the tropical garden but it was still ok. Thank you to the hotel and all the staffs for that amazing and memorable one week holidays. 10 out of 10.

Beautiful hotel! Comfy beds and awesome shower and bathtub. Little bit out from city centre but super convenient from/to the hotel!
