環境不錯，早上起來還可以到旁邊小山上撿菌子👍一路上有好多蘋果園，隨便選一家買都好甜😋聽說冬天泡着溫泉就可以看見雪山🏔️我們去的季節不對，沒有眼福，除了距離稍稍遠點外，其他沒毛病，吃飯要開車幾分鐘去馬登鎮上吃。

It is well known for it’s beautiful landscape, the ethnic diversity and it’s peacefulness. Many visitors are attracted to this beautiful village and would stay for months to paint, take photos and hike. We used to travel around the world and we understand how important it is to stay in a warm, clean, convenience and welcoming place to make your journey more comfortable and memorable. Miss May Hotel was transformed from a traditional house built by the Bai family. We preserved the unique style of this historic house with a touch of modern amenities. Our hotel is located right in the heart of the Shaxi marketplace. Welcome to our family and we are sure to provide an enjoyable experience with each guest staying at the Miss May Hotel!

This is a wonderful place. Joyce and Eric are the perfect hosts, and speak good English. The house is a traditional home, with very clean and lovely decorated rooms set around a central garden. It's on the edge of old Shaxi, so the centre is only a few minute's walk. They walked with us to show us where to pick up local transport for the Shiebao National Park, the spectacular temple of Baoxing, and the Shizen Lanxi mountain shrines. Whether you want to stay for a couple of days, or to use it as a base for exploring the area, it would be hard to find a more welcoming and helpful homestay.

We discovered a charming new homestay in Shaxi, conveniently located within walking distance of Shaxi Ancient Town, the filming location for the drama series ”Meet Yourself 去有风的地方.” During our visit, we noticed many tourists capturing photos at the various shooting locations, adding a lively atmosphere to the area. Unlike Dali Ancient Town, Shaxi feels less commercialized, which enhances its authentic charm.
One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying a marvelous mushroom hotpot at Tea Horse Road; it was definitely worth every penny. The flavors were exquisite, and the experience was truly memorable.
Our room was clean and well-equipped with modern bathroom amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, one minor discomfort was that the toilet did not have a door, which might be a consideration for some guests.
The owner of the homestay was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They brewed a delightful welcome tea for us and provided hot milk, which was a lovely touch. Additionally, they assisted us in arranging transportation from Shaxi to Lijiang, making our travel plans much easier. Overall, our experience at the homestay was enjoyable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and authentic stay in Shaxi.

This hotel is located 20-30 minutes walk from the old town, which makes your stay comfortable and quiet from the noise. The hotel provides bicycles to get to the old town. But do not rush to worry. Even though we came here by rented car, due to the holidays, the traffic was too difficult and Mr. Dahua kindly drove us there and picked us up back. Honestly, I have rarely met such kindness. You can also walk around this village to feel the local way of life. Mr. Dahua did everything to make our stay amazing. His wife cooks incredibly delicious food. We could not even think that we could eat anywhere else. I assure you, from the first seconds of your stay here, you will feel like a part of this wonderful family. This hotel is not just a business - this hotel is part of this family and every corner of it is imbued with love for this place. Mr. Dahua also speaks English and can advise and organize local sightseeing tours for you. We cannot express how grateful we are to this family! I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place.

UUtente ospiteThis little gem is 5 min walk away from the old city, along the river. You can reach the famous bridge following the river, a nice stroll away from the crowd. The rooms are truly beautiful and the overall atmosphere is peaceful, even with kids around. It’s well decorated and very high quality furniture and bedding. We arrived earlier than the check-in time but they welcomed us with tea, fruits and snacks. They provide also a « shuttle » to go to the old town and pick you up anywhere in the old town maximum 20min after sending a message. The Chinese breakfast was different everyday and delicious. One day we left early and they gave us some part of the breakfast to go. We wanted to ride bicycles and they sent us a contact and location to get them. Same for a driver to go to the mountain. They are all the kindest people. We really recommend this place.

NNgWe spent a night at Guilaitang, and it was a wonderful experience. During off-peak season, we were the only guests, and the owners graciously upgraded our room for free. The room was fantastic, though it was a bit chilly at night, we were still comfortable.
The hotel is located a bit farther from the main Shaxi ancient town, but the owners were incredibly accommodating, offering to drive us to and from the town whenever we needed. The surrounding area is mostly agricultural, which I’m sure looks even more picturesque during the right season. Even in winter, it was still quite beautiful.
Overall, it was an exceptionally pleasant stay. The room was clean, and the owners were incredibly hospitable. You can even pre-order dinner and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal right at the hotel, so you don’t have to venture into the ancient town for food. I’m so glad we chose this place—it offers a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle and bustle, and it's a place where you can truly unwind.

UUtente ospiteAs soon as you enter, the architecture is strikes you. Its traditional classy Chinese, but homey. The courtyard is gorgeous with a beautiful pomegrante tree to one side, and a fish pind to the other. You can chill out at some guest tables or swing benches while you wait or plan for your day.
The rooms are clean and well done. Also Chinese, but modernized. The doors are locked with an old style lock and key which gives it a unqiue old timey feel. The bathrooms are particularly well done with modern western toilets (with bidets if you're into that), and large showers. Id recommend trying the complimentary tea. Ours smelled of chocolate, but had a mild taste.
The service is excellent, especially if you speak Chinese, though if not theyre still very friendly. The owner helped us out with a misunderstanding with a local restaurant, and even gave us a free bottle of his local liquor to try. The breakfast is quite good, if you like Chinese style of breakfasts. Youtiao, buckwheat pancakes, hard boiled or fried eggs, and very good local rice noodle soup.
The location is very convenient as we drove there and its right off a main road. They also have parking if you check and ask.
A unique and luxurious experience without breaking the bank. I will definitley come back as I really liked the small tourist village feel of shaxi, and this homestay was excellent.

JJonathanHo soggiornato qui per 2 notti. È ben posizionato sul lato della città antica, il che ci ha permesso di raggiungere le principali attrazioni di Shaxi in 5-10 minuti a piedi. Facile anche con i bagagli se si arriva in auto, che può fermarsi proprio davanti alla porta principale. La suite era enorme con zona soggiorno separata, bagno e aveva un bel decoro in legno. Sebbene sia già operativo da molti anni, sembrava nuovo di zecca! Il complesso dell'hotel in sé era bellissimo con un arioso giardino. Ci siamo goduti la colazione e il tè pomeridiano sulle panchine all'aperto vicino alla sala da pranzo. Anche se era completamente prenotato in uno dei giorni, non si è mai sentito per niente affollato. Il personale era cortese, sempre sorridente e felice di offrire i propri servizi o consigli. Questa è una proprietà che dovresti sicuramente prendere in considerazione se intendi trascorrere più giorni a Shaxi e nelle zone limitrofe, in modo da poterti godere l'hotel stesso.

PPUAY PUAYWe recently stayed at Jianchuan Xinqi B&B, and it was a wonderful experience. The homestay, though only six months old, was very comfortable and provided all the necessary amenities. Upon check-in, we were warmly welcomed with a generous platter of fresh fruits, which was a lovely touch.
Although the booking mentioned no breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised in the morning with a delicious bowl of local *mi xian* noodles, which was a delightful treat.
The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to the old town, and free parking is also available. We stayed on the second floor, and the staff kindly assisted us with our luggage, which we greatly appreciated.
This B&B has a simple and down-to-earth charm, and the owner’s hospitality truly made our stay enjoyable. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Jianchuan.
