The Bird & Butterfly Inn

My husband and I were looking for a fall getaway when we found the Bird and Butterly Inn B&B. From the minute we arrived we knew this was a place we would come back to over and over. The house is secluded and surrounded by beautiful trees, with a walkway to the river and a deck overlooking it. There were so many place to relax, from the comfortable chairs on the massive porch to the many seating areas along the walkway to the deck and the wedding area. Every room in the house was immaculate, and our bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Our hosts, Chuck and Mikelynn, were attentive to our needs and very friendly. The breakfasts were delicious, and every morning was a different meal. We were looking for a quiet place to unwind, and the Bird and Butterly Inn met that need in abundance.

Very quite, peaceful getaway. Main house is beautiful, with unique decorations from previous owners. Different types of instruments hanging on one wall in large den, as well as other unusual stuff enclosed in display cases. Little White House where I stayed was cozy, although I was expecting a real fireplace. It had candles that run on batteries, but they didn't work. It was nice to have Keurig in the room. Furniture was beautiful, bed very comfortable. Enjoyed chair with footstool in corner of room in the evenings to do my crossword puzzles, or read a magazine. Breakfast was good. Property had plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy nature. Nice front deck with rocking chairs to relax. Owners built a very nice fire pit, where Chuck (one of the owners) & I sat around visiting for a little while Monday night when it got pretty cold. They shared a delicious cinnamon coffee cake Mikelyn had made earlier that evening. It is a place I would return to, as well as recommended to others. Found them on Bed and Breakfast for Vets website as I was looking for place to go that offered the stay one night, get second night free special that wasn't too far of a drive for quick 2 day getaway.

My husband and I had a wonderful time visiting. Our room was spotless with a comfortable bed, the grounds were lovely, and the food was delicious. The interior design of the Inn was charming and cozy. It was fun getting to know the other guests who were there and having coffee and breakfast with them in the morning. We were there for the Spirit's Night event, which was a coursed out dinner menu with cocktail pairings, all with a 1940s theme. They have other events that we are looking forward to. We highly recommend this place!

A MUST GO EXPERIENCE! MY HUSBAND AND I LOVED EVERY MOMENT WE SHARED WITH THE AMAZING HOST MICHIA, AND CHUCK THEY ARE SO KIND PERSONABLE AND JUST HOOTS TO VISIT WITH. THROUGH OUT OUR STAY WE ENJOYED OUR TIME! WE WILL GO BACK! THE FOOD WAS SO YUMMY. SUPER SOFT SHEETS AND THE ROOMS SO CLEAN AND INVITING! THIS PLACE IS GREAT FOR COUPLES GET AWAY. FOR BIRTHDAYS, WEDDINGS, AND FAMILY GATHERINGS TOO! SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME WE HAD WITH THE OWNERS, AND OTHER GUESTS! CHECK THEM OUT THEY HOLD SPECIAL EVENTS AND DINNERS!

The accommodations were gorgeous, the rooms and grounds were clean and well-maintained, the food was 5 star. Can't find anything to criticize. Especially gratifying that the accomodations were exactly as described in the advertisements. Very hard to find these days!

My wife and I were looking for a nearby getaway and came across Bird & Butterfly. After reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, Mikelyn and Chuck made us feel right at home. They greeted us personally and showed us to our room, which was absolutely beautiful—full of old-world charm and luxurious touches. The bathroom featured a spacious shower and a relaxing clawfoot tub, which my wife especially enjoyed. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and came with plenty of pillows. We spent some time exploring the grounds and were impressed by the peaceful setting. From the main house, there’s a lovely view of the river. The large deck, often used for weddings, turned out to be the perfect spot to relax, catch up on some reading, and enjoy the sound of the nearby water fountain. We also came across several interesting touches around the property—including an EV charger, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the “Crème Brûlée” pancakes—absolutely delicious! We’re already looking forward to returning, especially to try one of their Wine Pairing dinners. .
