On Aug. 9, 2025 I stayed over at the Holiday Inn in Jasper, Tx. and experienced the worst case of discrimination I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime. I have stayed there at least 5 nights a year and sometimes a wk at a time over 12 yrs. I was in room 123 and experienced brown bath water and a broken down bed. I reported my concern and was told the mgr.(Tammy Wagstaff) would give me a call. When she called me she told me that she would be giving 5,000 pts back towards my rewards as I am a Platinum Elite member and have spent thousands of dollarsat this location. She told me I was no longer welcomed there and could not stay there anymore. I was in total dismay and asked her was she saying I could never come stay there again and her reply was “yes”. After her call, I did my research and realized I had been placed in room 123 on multiple occasions, the manager then deleted my stays that showed I stayed in room 123 but I have a copy from Nov. 2024. I reported this to their corporate office along with my photos that she refused to see and was told since they are privately owned, corporate could not help me. I am a disabled veteran who served this country honorably and former educator of Jasper ISD. I was born in the area and grew up there all my life but never have been treated like this. I guess Tammy Wagstaff (mgr) felt that brown water was fine for me and my daughter to clean our bodies in since we are Black. This is outright wrong and I would not recommend anyone to stay there ever again. I deserve a formal apology for her flagrant remarks and full access to stay here as I have done nothing wrong.

Very wonderful experience. Staff was very welcoming. Very clean and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Will definitely be going back!

This Holiday Inn is extremely poorly managed, and staying here is nothing short of a headache. The list of issues we encountered is too long to detail, but each one made our experience highly disappointing. Do yourself a favor and choose a different hotel for your stay.

The hotel was very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so kind, they even helped me walk my elderly mother to the car, to the breakfast table, etc. They went above and beyond friendly service! I highly recommend this place! The staff are true gems!

Hotel was great, very clean and the room was nice. Front desk was nice, even called a little after we checked in to make sure everything was okay.

Just wanted to give a warning to other families with small children so you aren’t blind sighted the way we were. We arrived here at 6:30pm the day before Thanksgiving after being on the road for 5 hours. Got our stuff and kids settled in our room which was on the second floor. Our kids were running around and we got a call from the front desk from Connie asking us if we could ask the children to settle down. Fair enough. We told the older two (8 & 5) to settle down and sat them down to eat. At that point, our 18 month old was the only one running around, because he’s a baby and he doesn’t understand “no running”. We then got a call from Connie very rudely telling us that if she got another complaint that she was going to have to kick us out of the hotel. This was 7:30pm when she threatened to kick us out. We had been there for an hour. We then spent the rest of the evening holding our crying 18 month old who just wanted to move around because we had no where else to go if we got kicked out. We did call the corporate offices and filed a complaint with them as well. But as a family that has 3 small children, I hated that we didn’t have the ability to relax in a room that we paid for. What was most frustrating was that the complaints came from workers that were resting up for the night shift there. It wasn’t complaints from other guests. I’m generally not one to leave bad reviews. But this experience was so stressful and I would hate for another family to experience the same thing that we did.

Excellent because all went as it should. Room was clean and we even got service each day. That’s unusual at most hotels today. Breakfast was good and plentiful. There was a selection of hot and cold options. And went as it should so there was little need for help from the staff.

The room was clean, the air conditioner was set to a comfortable temperature, and the bed was comfortable.

There were a few areas in the room that needed touching up. The baseboards haven’t been hit with a cleaning tool in a while. There were also stains on the carpet.
