Best part of this place is its location and quietness. The Lady Owner cum Manager was kind enough to offer us free upgradation to a suite room on the ground floor which we liked very much. The room was really spacious. Another aspect we liked is the Breakfast which was quite adequate. Staff were polite and helpful. However, 1. We would have liked to see the floor carpets in a better shape, which, it seemed were not shampooed or washed since they were laid down on the floor. 2. We would have liked to stay in a hotel where in house lunch and dinner is not discouraged due to lack of sufficient staff after Covid ( as we were told). 3. We would have liked to see the Laundry charges sheet before sending clothes for laundry. 4. We would have liked to stay in a room from where we could contact the reception or house keeping over phone or a calling bell system. 5. There were two big restaurants nearby but the Hotel did not offer to give any specific information on them even when asked for. Since the hotel was not encouraging in house lunch or dinner, what they could do in the minimum is to make some sort of arrangements with those two nearby restaurants and keep their menu cards for the guests' benefit.

It was a most comfortable stay. The host family is most cordial and caring. The rooms are large and comfortable. One feels as if one is living at home, while staying here. The hosts are a beautiful blend of, traditional Rajput hospitality and a contemporary scientific outlook. Recommended for families who want a cosy, comfortable and peaceful stay.

My home from home whilst in Jaipur. I have been staying here since 2010 - Indu and her lovely staff look after me very well. It is a simple yet oasis of calm in this crazy city. I love coming back at the end of the day and sitting in the garden with a G&T - peaceful and relaxing. Rooms are spotless and cleaned every day. The garden is well tended and the pride of the owners.

The hotel is located a little far from the hustle and bustle of the city, however if someone is visiting jaipur for the first time, and wants to stay near the city centre, i would suggest not ti stay here. But if someone is looking for a relaxing and chill stay, this hotel could be an ideal place. Rooms are good, all basic amenities are there, staffs are nice too. Their breakfast can be bettered as i found very limited options.

An oasis in the middle of Jaipur. Beautiful, individual rooms and great staff. The pool was clean and the atmosphere was very chilled. Recommend it to couples, singles and parties. Love the owner Mrs. Singh.

The hotel had a charming and authentic style and we were given a lovely big room with gorgeous furniture. The staff, however, really made the hotel stand out. They were engaging, welcoming, flexible and helpful, both Mrs Singh and Vikash. They were kind enough to heat up a homemade curry we had received from a friend in Jaipur and make some rice and dahl to complement. They really made us feel at home away from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur.

A great quiet escape. Stayed in one of the rooms at the back overlooking the pool which was very quiet, comfortable and spacious. It was winter and no one was swimming - a little cool. Staff were friendly and helpful and helped to arrange a driver for the day to tour and visit Amber Fort and around which worked out very well.

Had the best time in Jaipur. The staff at the Meghniwas could not have done more for us, making sure we were supplied with drinks and all the comforts. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, a gem with a colonial feel to any stay. My room was extremely spacious and charming. Our stay was during Diwali and the staff made every effort to include us, their guests, in the celebrations. A fabulous stay!

Just coming to the end of a twelve day stay as part of a craft tour here in Jaipur. This is my second visit and the hotel continues to provide a wonderful oasis away from the bustle of the city, Meghniwas is a former colonial home turned into a hotel run by Colonel and Mrs Singh, whose home it was. All the rooms are spacious, with fridges and air-con, some with balconies and some fronting the beautiful gardens. Facilities include a lovely pool and free wi-fi. Meals are freshly cooked and tasty with breakfast being mainly Western in style. Mrs Singh is extremely gracious and the staff are polite and helpful. Nothing has been too much trouble and our group has been made very welcome, This hotel is different to a five star international hotel and so much better for it.
