Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels, Jabalpur

Jabalpur is the nearest airport to some of India's best wildlife parks - Bandhavgarh, Panna, Kanha, Sanjay Dubri and even Pench, for that matter. And if that isn't enough, there are enough and more opportunities for sightseeing within this beautiful city itself. And given that we are tiger lovers, Jabalpur has become one of our preferred stopover destinations. For a long time, the options for stay were limited with largely local players present. The situation has now changed with some of the larger hotel chains coming in. So when we had to plan a stopover at Jabalpur, there was no place other than the recently launched ITC property that we could think of. The hotel is beautiful, and the exteriors are modeled largely on the lines of the Royal Bengal. As with all ITCs, this one too has a large and plush lobby with intricate artwork all around. The staff were very helpful, and I was quickly ushered into a reaosnably large and expansive suite. The room was again plush, with a comfortable living area and bed. While this is an ITC welcome and not a grand category hotel, the standard is pretty consistent. All key amenities are expected with ITC and were present. The highlight with ITC hotels besides the large and plush rooms is the food. And while there are no specialty restaurants here the taste, quality and service at the restaurant was simply phenomenal. This one simply rocks. The evening was a specialty dinner for Father's Day, and the restaurant was crowded. The team however made it a point to ensure that the experience was special for everyone who turned up. As if all of the above is not enough, the hotel is very conveniently located just off the highway and therefore ideal for both stopover as well as touristy stays. This is certainly one hotel that we will be staying at more often.

This hotel made my trip memorable. Right from the check-in, the welcome was warm and professional. The ambience was elegant and soothing, giving a pleasant vibe. Rooms were very spacious, neat, and provided a comfortable stay. The staff was courteous and quick in their service, which I highly appreciate. Dining was another highlight – food tasted delicious and was served beautifully. I enjoyed both dinner and the breakfast spread. The overall atmosphere felt safe and homely. Truly a perfect combination of good service, tasty food, and comfort. I will surely choose this property again on my next visit.
