DeGrassi Boutique Garni Hotel Izola

This hotel is perfect in every way. First and foremost, how can we thank Nina for her incredible warmth, endless helpful suggestions and extraordinary care. A huge shout-out to Amira as well who helped us navigate a parking ticket on our last day. The hotel is gorgeous from the rooms to the breakfast area and bar to the truly delightful terrace. The breakfast is fantastic with lovely options and incredible variety. Every evening, we sat on the terrace for drinks. It was pure relaxation in beautiful surroundings. The hotel is on a tree-lined street close to everything, just a block or two off the harbor. We can't really do the hotel justice in a short review. Just know that if you stay here, you will be spoiled forever. A+++ experience.

This hotel was excellent - great location, lovely building, solid rooms that were well- equipped and decorated, charming cafe outside. Very easy and cheap parking arrangement with a lot down the street. Best of all was the incredibly warm welcome from the lady manager who gave us a ton of advice about where to go in Isola and Piran and how to get the most out of the area. Her recommendations made our trip! The breakfast was fine but it could be improved with better bread and juice.

Excellent hotel in an old building of character but with interiors that are very new and stylish. The room was very modern and everything was in perfect condition. There is a safe and minibar. Only things missing are tea/coffee facilities or free bottled water but the tap water was fine. Nice walk-in rain shower and plenty of toiletries. Location is very good with restaurants and cafes nearby. The hotel bar/cafe is also really nice with a stylish indoor area and a pleasant seating area outside. It was very quiet at night - our room faced the side and we didn’t hear a thing even though we slept with the window open. Breakfast was good with fresh croissants with various fillings, the usual cold buffet items and eggs and coffee made to order and to your liking. Service was excellent from the great server at breakfast to the receptionist who kindly went out of his way to resolve an issue we had with payment at a local car park. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking other than a spot at the back for dropping off luggage but there are several public car parks nearby. We parked at Arigoni car park near the marina (5 minutes walk from the hotel) which costs €10 per 24 hours. The payment instructions are a bit complicated. Your number plate gets scanned on the way in and you pay on the way out. If you want to go in and out you can pay in advance for up to 14 days. It’s really big and camper vans can park there too (€18/24 hrs).

Fairly new addition to Izola accommodation, but certainly one that makes great first impression. Magnificently restored outside of the hotel is continuing great design and combination of old and new also in the lobby, bar and of course rooms. It was really nice surprise entering room that had a bed on upper floor to where stairs from the nice living room lead to. Bad was big and two possible pillows to choose from. Bathroom with great shower and dark colors was hard to leave, small mini bar was nice addition and completely enough for a cold drink or two. Breakfast in the bar was all you need with local food - go for the omelette- fresh juice and Illy coffee to start exploring Izola. Finally staff friendly, professional. Definitely on the top of the list for next time visiting one of the many festivals in Izola.

We stayed at the Deluxe room with a hot tub and sauna. The rooms are new, very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed is extremely comfortable and the hot tub amazing for relaxing! The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach and has amazing restaurants nearby. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely nice! Would definitely recommend and will visit again!

Bereits bei der Ankunft wurden wir von der Hotelmanagerin sehr herzlich begrüßt und mit vielen Ausflugstipps der Region versorgt! Sowohl die Ausstattung der architektonisch wunderschönen Zimmer, als das herrliche Frühstücksbuffet mit lokalen Produkten, die schönen, liebevoll gemachten Drinks an der Bar, das nette, topmotivierte Personal - alles hat Klasse und Stil! Wir empfehlen das DeGrassi unseren Freunden weiter und werden selbst auch wiederkommen!
