Pros: - Circa 5-10 min passeggiata alla stazione ferroviaria più vicina e un altro 10-15min treni a città (2.10 euro per un singolo biglietto) - Lavanderia (con ferro) e palestra situato nel secondo piano - Le letti e le mutandine sono lussuosamente comode. Molto impressionato con la qualità delle camere e il grande servizio clienti - Carrefour grocery 1 min walk Uber è molto economico in questa città rispetto ad altri paesi dell'UE. Si prega di notare che questo hotel è situato accanto (o è collegato) ad un ospedale. Ciò significa che i taxi sono disponibili tutto il giorno, ma sirene saranno sentite durante il vostro soggiorno. In generale, consiglio questo hotel a coloro che visitano la zona. Tuttavia, la prossima volta resterò in un hotel nella città di Bruxelles.

Siamo andati per il compleanno della mia ragazza e hanno offerto champagne e cioccolatini gratuiti. Il personale era adorabile e tutti parlavano inglese, cosa di cui siamo grati. In short, a dump for €170 per night (regardless of the rate they advertise). Long version: I checked into a 5th floor room at just after 2pm in mid-October. The only window, which opened to the roof, was open and it was about 10C outside and maybe 15C in the room - too cold to be comfortable. I noticed the smell of sewage. I’m tall, so I looked out the open roof window and could see a sewer roof vent about one meter from the open window. I immediately closed the window and turned on the radiator to “4” (full on) to warm the room up. 15 minutes after, I could smell mold or mildew in the room, possibly from the carpet - hence the open window. I attempted to work on my laptop but the Wi-Fi dropped out every 10-15 minutes. I tried 4 different Wi-Fi’s in the hotel and had the same problems. After 30 minutes, I checked the radiator - stone cold. I went back to the front desk and described the Wi-Fi problem. Response - “nothing I can do but I called the IT guy.” Fair enough. I asked about there being no heat in the room. Response “ give it an hour or two.” I left to explore a bit and had dinner. I returned at 8pm. Different guy at the front desk. Still no Wi-Fi with a stable connection. Still no room heat, and it was getting colder outside and in the room. I went back to the front desk. Responses were “I’ll get the IT guy to fix the Wi-Fi” and “give the radiator an hour or two to warm up”. I replied that I had given the radiator over 4 hours to warm up and the supply lines to the radiator were cold. I asked to be moved to a room with heat and and he said “nothing I can do”. I asked for them to check the furnace and they had nobody who could do that. Perhaps heat was out for the entire hotel and they were still booking and charging rooms on a cold October day. Who knows? I checked out (or attempted to) at 10 pm same day and requested a full refund. They had charged me a full three nights stay immediately upon check-in for a dingy, smelly hotel room without heat in late Autumn. In the end, they refused to refund any of the stay despite not being able to provide a heated room in mid-October in Brussels. What a dump. Save your money. There is a decent hotel 3 blocks away with both Wi-Fi and working room heat.

Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato in questo magnifico hotel sotto Natale e siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti. La camera era grande e confortevole, dotata di un piccolo balcone; a disposizione asse e ferro da stiro e il necessario per preparare un the o una tisana; inoltre due bottiglie d'acqua gratuite (delicatezza sempre molto gradita in alberghi di questa categoria!); il bagno spazioso con vasca e doccia, accappatoi, ciabatte e ottimi prodotti nel Kit Cortesia. Colazione abbondante e varia sia nella proposta dolce sia in quella salata. Il personale è stato davvero gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo consumato anche al bar: prodotti eccellenti e servizio cortese e veloce. Rispetto al centro città è un pochino distante (circa 15/20 minuti a piedi), ma lo consiglio vivamente!

4 of us stayed here in a quad room which was surprisingly very spacious. The hotel is located within walking distance from Bruxelles-Midi Brussel-Zuid train station and bus depot where we caught the Flixibus. At the time the hotel was surrounded in scaffolding and looked like a building site but on entry the inside was clean although slightly cluttered as there was a lot in such a small reception. As you entered, a massive information stand stood separating the reception from the narrow breakfast area. The wooden reception area looked welcoming as lots of plants around and interesting pictures on the wall. Check in was quick & easy. The smallest and oddest lift and I've ever been in took us 2 at a time to the narrow corridors where we found our room. As we entered the room, there was a single bed to the left and the bathroom on the right. Long side the bed was a mirror and at the end of the bed was a chair, a large 5-headed lamp and a desk that held a fridge on one side with a flat screen TV above the desk. The TV could not be properly viewed from the single bed as it was in line with it so it would have probably been best viewed if the TV was placed in the corner for all sleeping areas to view. In front of the desk was a large L-shaped settee which was also wrongly set up to watch the TV as half of the settee meant you had your back to the TV. The settee was used as a bed and situated by a coffee table under a large window that had a city view. To the left of the settee was the large double bed with a headboard that had built in bedside drawers with bedside lamps on each one. Opposite the settee was a large, old-fashioned double wardrobe. There was another window in the room that was small and showed a small balcony which you couldn't access. The mosaic bathroom has 2 sinks with a glass shelf and a large mirror above plus a hairdryer next to them. There was also a bath with a shower hose attached to the bath taps and another small window viewing the inaccessible balcony. We didn't have breakfast but the breakfast area looked clean and basic with a coffee and vending machine and all with table settings for 2. At the end of the breakfast area was a large garden with some artistic statues and at the beginning was a small lounge area with armchairs and a coffee table. The hotel was also located within walking distance to the main shopping, restaurants, bars and club areas.

La piccola stanza non era male, ma non avrei mai avuto piacere stare in una grande stanza senza privacy, ma credo che sia preferibile. La notte ero nella zona comune, e i bug del letto cominciarono a sdraiarsi dalle cuscinetti, e l'ho portata all'attenzione del desk front, e mi è stato detto che non potevano fare nulla. Ho fatto un giro e ho detto al mio compagno di stanza, e abbiamo controllato il nostro dormitorio come se fossimo pazzi a cercare segni e non potevamo trovare nessuno nel nostro dormitorio. Spero che riusciranno a risolvere questo problema presto, altrimenti consiglierei di rimanere altrove.

La stanza era di base, abbastanza fredda, non poteva ottenere il riscaldamento al lavoro, le luci di strada proprio fuori dalla finestra non aiutavano nemmeno, il colazione era di base un po' buona, buona posizione, ma abbiamo avuto un viaggio inaspettato al distretto di luce rossa dopo aver preso la strada sbagliata di Bruxelles settentrionale

This was my first time that I have ever stayed in an Ibis Budget hotel anywhere, and I have to say that on seeing the reception area and my room for the 1st time my heart sank a bit. The room looks exactly how I would imagine a student bedroom to look like, very basic and functional, absolutely no cosiness or warmth. Also, the walls are rough cast plaster and in need of repainting, so overall a bit depressing on 1st sight. However, I soon got used to the room, was only in it to sleep and the bed and pillows are the equal to a 5 star hotel. The shower is in a moulded plastic cubicle, but excellent. There were painters there during my stay, so presuming the hotel is getting redone now. Blackout blinds on the windows and totally silent at night. Buffet Breakfast has everything you need, not cooked, but I didn't mind that at all. Lots of different staff over the course of my 5 night stay, but all consistently excellent with their customer service. Ibis must recruit the best and then train them well. I was travelling solo , definitely not a hotel for a romantic getaway. The 'No drugs' sign in the bedroom alarmed me a bit at first, I thought , 'What kindof establishment is this?!' For the price I paid, I couldn't fault it. Super clean. Hard to find any faults considering the price, Well done to Ibis and all the staff.

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Brussels South when returning from Austria on a coach trip. From the outside none of us were impressed, the building looks very austere, but on the inside it has been done up to a very high standard. The member of staff on during the evening was rather rude, but the morning staff were excellent. The room was clean but had some wear and tear showing. The TV had BBC1 and BBC2 listed as available channels but didn't work when I was there, but did have some random English language channels if you absolutely needed them. The room had plenty of charging points, with 1 USB charger under the TV. The bathroom seemed very new, but the shower head was at a fixed angle which meant a lot of spray went straight onto the bathroom floor. Even arriving latish at night the shower had very good water pressure and heated up quickly. The bed was comfortable, but was two singles pushed together so I did find I graviated to the dip between them. The pillows were fine, not the best but also not the worst. Breakfast here was a little choatic, but not as bad as in another Best Western I stayed in. This hotel had a number of coach trips in, and each was given their own time for breakfast - unfortunately some of the later coaches arrived at the first sitting, so the staff did have to rush around to ensure the food was kept fully stocked, but did so with a very friendly manner - especially considering the way some of the travellers spoke to them. Location wise this hotel is about 2 hours from the ferry at Dunkirk, there aren't really any amenities nearby, but there are two service stations close by if you wanted some food in the evening. I'd certainly consider staying at this hotel in the future, more likely on a weekday when there are no coach trips.
