Things to like: pleasant modern boutique vibe in the small lobby area, offering complimentary flavoured water (and croissants later in day). Excellent level of cleanliness. Most staff obliging and friendly especially the male receptionist in the evening. Organic breakfast. Good sized room with comfortable bed and pillows, plus functional bedside tables with adjustable reading lights, usb charge points etc. Air con. Middling: room felt soulless with no cheerful pictures, hard (vinyl?) floor, table too small for keys, phones, brochures, and usual travel paraphernalia. Same with the otherwise well equipped bathroom, but instead of drawers under sink it would be better to have some shelving where his/her toiletries could all sit out. Poor: getting hold of some fresh milk for UK tea drinkers depended on who was at reception. On day of arrival before I could buy any it was reluctantly supplied in a miniature jug! View was of big factory belching out steam from tall steel chimneys, and a delivery yard for lorries. So not scenic. Awful: attitude from “M”. On last day, I had just taken my leave when I remembered something and returned to check in desk. Sorted, I went to leave again but was then asked how many breakfasts I had had. Two, times two, I replied thinking it was just conversational but then: Had I paid? Why, yes, of course. (Breakfasts were paid for as and when booked the day/evening before.) Could I prove it? Did I have the receipts? I was confused. What were they saying and, if I hadn’t intended to pay for the breakfasts, would I have “admitted” having any in first place. Didn’t they have a copy of the receipts? They should have but apparently, not mine. So, in this heat you want me to start unpacking my luggage to see if I still have them buried away. Yes. I take my luggage to an area where I can start to dismantle my cases (it’s very hot by the way) and start sifting through when I’m told that one receipt has been found. But is the only one, there are no others. I keep looking and am actually tearful. I feel like a criminal, certainly treated that way. I finally find a small bag with the majority of my receipts and start going through them when I’m told from the other side of the lobby, I’ve found it. I look up. Pardon? I’ve found it. Sorry. Not really what I would call a heartfelt apology for what I’ve just been put through. I repack my cases and leave. Just to add. The only food my companion and I ate that same day was breakfast from the hotel. I’m a pensioner and she a fit healthy teenager who ate some cold buffet meat and croissant which I did not. A few hours later she was feeling nauseous and by the time we caught our train she was sick twice and not well for a couple of days. I cannot say for sure it was the breakfast which appeared to be fresh and kept well but on the other hand it was the only food she had eaten. To conclude, we had encountered so many very lovely, kind French people on our journey that this was a very sad

Ho scelto questo residence per la sua localizzazione e la convenienza di prezzo. Ho trovato la camera molto accogliente e spaziosa, e anche molto pulita. Il bagno era comodo con tutto il necessario. La cucina è equipaggiata con l'indispensabile per la preparazione di un pasto semplice, quindi se uno non ha voglia di uscire una sera, può sempre prepararsi qualcosa rapidamente.

Yes, rooms are very small by US standards, smaller than the smallest room I saw at the College Park (Atlanta Airport) Econo Lodge. However, they are twice as big as what they call “single rooms” in London’s budget hotels, which are half way between the traditional English phone booth and a small US closet, where you sleep in a tiny 90 centimeters army cot WITHOUT AC for the price you pay at the Los Angeles LAX Sheraton! At this CHOICE COMFORT HOTEL PORTE D’IVRY at least, you will sleep in a double bed in a small but clean room WITH AC, tiny desk and phone, and a full bath with the biggest shower (3 times bigger) that I’ve ever seen in Europe, together with the one of room 823 at the Orly Best Western Plus, which is the same size. It also has a sink with a hair dryer and a private “wishing well”, the greatest invention of mankind… Those amenities such as a big refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board that I always see in all CHOICE HOTELS (whether Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, etc.) in the US for around $100 with buffet breakfast included, are just a dream in Europe, so forget about it! I’ll say the same about the ice machine, which we find even in cheapest motels, and sometimes on every floor in high-end hotels like the Clarion. Forget it! The only place where I have seen an ice machine outside of the US was at the Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires, after I harassed the manager during more than seven years asking for it during every trip in the 1990s! THE MAIN ASSET of this Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry is its LOCATION. A short 4 blocks walk will put you at “Porte d’Ivry”, where you will see the terminal of bus 27 to go to “Quartier Latin”, “Notre-Dame”, “Opéra” and “Gare Saint-Lazare”, and also the terminal of bus 83, which will take you to “Port Royal” and “Sèvres-Babylone”. At the same “Porte d’Ivry”, you will also see the “Métro” (subway) line 7 going from “La Courneuve” in the north of Paris to “Mairie d’Ivry” in the south. If you enjoy traveling underground, this line will take you straight to “Chatelet” and “Opéra”. But I prefer to do that journey with bus 27. Last but not least, at that “Porte d’Ivry”, you will be able to take TRAM 3a, which circles Paris on the south and will take you from “Pont du Garigliano” on the west, to “Porte de Vincennes” on the east, where you will be able to take TRAM 3b, which circles Paris on the north side, and will take you to “Porte de la Chapelle”, where you will be able to take bus 350 to Roissy CDG. And if you fly to Orly, as I do with Iberia via Madrid, now that American Airlines have discontinued their nonstop flights 62 and 63 between Miami and Paris, then you can take the ORLYBUS and get off at the first stop in Paris, by my beloved Cité Universitaire, where I lived the best five years of my long life in the 1960s, then walk a block to “Montsouris” and take TRAM 3a to “Porte d’Ivy”, only six stations away. I have been towards many times in my younger days and I always found a little room in the centre of the city at a good price. This time I was going with the family. An entirely different proposition. My partner found this place. She is very good at finding something suitable. I was a little concerned at the distance from the centre of the city. We flew to Orly and got a taxi the hotel. The coach would have been €44 for the four of us. A taxi was €36 ! The hotel is basic. Flash it is not. However, clean, warm, nice bed, good shower, quiet close to the bus route into the city are all accurate comments. This leads me onto the buses and Metro etc. We got 2 days of travel on everything (zones 1 - 3) for the four of us for less than £25 each. Great value. There is an app that can help you get around if you are not c9mfy with maps etc. Hotel does breakfast but we did not partake so I cannot comment but the location was not too far out to allow for a good evening in the city and an easy and quick trip back to a warm comfy bed with a good sleep to look forward to. Views from the hotel leave a lot to be desired. On the plus side you can see where the hotel is because it is next to the big steam emitting chimneys beside the wonky office block ! 🤣

Ho avuto un buon soggiorno all'hotel. Vicino alla linea 7 Line, ci sono negozi di martedì e convenienza vicino, quindi è buono comprare acqua e bevande. Non sono arrivato in autobus, ma se sono un passaggio di burro, Il centro è troppo costoso, ma il prezzo è ragionevole. Il servizio è buono e il personale è così buono. Non credo che sia ancora noto ai coreani, ma sono L'ho usato bene.

Ho soggiornato in coppia in questo aparthotel nel periodo di capodanno. L'hotel è situato nella zona di Port de Choisy, a circa 40 minuti dalla zona ”centrale” dove sono situate le maggiori attrazioni turistiche. Il collegamento è ottimo, tram di fronte all'hotel e metro a 5 minuti a piedi. La zona è tranquilla. Da tenere presente la distanza in quanto è notevole, noi siamo usciti la mattina e tornati la sera direttamente. Abbiamo soggiornato in una piccola camera con letto matrimoniale, dotata di angolo cottura con un frigo grande, bagno con doccia spaziosa, non dotato di phon per capelli. Camera silenziosa. Le pulizie vengono effettuate solo alla fine del soggiorno quindi da tenere presente per chi è abituato a soggiornare nei classici hotel. Purtroppo al nostro arrivo non abbiamo trovato la camera pulita in quanto vi erano peli e capelli sia in bagno che nel letto. Staff cordiale e disponibile. Il costo per notte buono. Non abbiamo fatto colazione, volendo nella hall ci sono due macchinette per caffè e snack.

Wij verbleven 2 nachten en 3 dagen in dit hotel. Verbeterpunten: 1)1e dag dat we er waren zat er ongedierte in de kamer. Bewijs meegenomen naar de receptie. Hebben wij een andere kamer gekregen. 2)3e dag dat we er waren ging vroeg in de ochtend ineens het brandalarm af 10 minuten lang heel veel lawaai. De gasten in het hotel wisten niet wat er gaande was. Er werd vanuit de staff geen oproep gedaan zodat wij als gasten weten wat er aan de hand is. 3)Geen telefoon op de kamer. Mocht er bijvoorbeeld een noodgeval zijn kan je de receptie niet bereiken. Dan zou je op de lift moeten wachten (als dit nog mogelijk is) of met de trap naar beneden. (Dit als je goed ter been bent anders wordt het een probleem) 4)Jammer dat de kamers niet dagelijks worden schoongemaakt. Dit ook om ongedierte te voorkomen. Pluspunten: 1)De lobby ziet er modern uit. 2)De dame bij de receptie die na 22.00 uur werkt wil ik graag mijn complimenten geven. Zij heeft ons goed geholpen. 3)Locatie was dichtbij bakkerij, supermarkt, restaurants en bushalte. Met het openbaar vervoer makkelijk overal naar toe. 4)Mooi ruim balkon

Abbiamo soggiornato in 2 adulti e 2 ragazzi la prima settimana di agosto 2022. PRO: - Appartamento composto da camera matrimoniale, soggiorno con divano letto ed un bagno, prezzo molto economico. - Personale gentile e disponibile ad ogni richiesta. - Ottimo pub di fronte all'appartamento, con due mini market nelle vicinanze ed una ottima bulangerie per la colazione, nella strada a fianco. - Distante 5 minuti dalla linea ferroviaria RER fermata Ivry sur Seine. CONTO: - La linea ferroviaria RER fermata Ivry sur Seine impiega 30 minuti ad arrivare alla stazione di Notre Dame, e non tutti i convogli fermano ad Ivry (controllare sito RATP). - La fermata della metropolitana invece dista 15 minuti a piedi e circa 30/40 minuti per arrivare alla stazione di Notre Dame. - L'appartamento (le foto del sito non sono assolutamente indicative) è senza aria condizionata (siamo stati ad agosto) anche se ci hanno fornito alcuni ventilatori; per un soggiorno di una settimana sarebbe stato gradito (sul sito era scritto che non era prevista) una pulizia infrasettimanale ed un cambio asciugamani (a richiesta ce lo hanno fornito gratuitamente). - Colazione a buffet costosa (€ 10,00). Nel complesso è una discreta soluzione, soprattutto economica.

Eerlijk gezegd is de hotelkamer erg mooi en ruim. Ik bedoel groot. Maar er waren een paar dingen die ontbraken in de kamer. Er was geen koelkast, geen waterkoker, thee en koffie waren niet beschikbaar. Sommige personeelsleden missen eenvoudige beleefdheid en gastvrijheid jegens gasten. Er was een bepaalde dame bij de receptie, van Afrikaanse afkomst, vermoed ik, wiens houding aangepakt moet worden. Ze mist communicatievaardigheden. Ik had op een avond wat ijsblokjes nodig en liep naar de bar en werd naar haar verwezen. Haar reactie was erg onbeleefd. Ze fronste haar gezicht en zei: Ik ben aan het werk en ga niet weg met wat ik aan het doen ben. Ik ging toen naar een andere collega van haar, Saber genaamd, die onmiddellijk op mijn verzoek reageerde en me vertelde dat hij de ijsblokjes naar mijn kamer zou brengen. Saber, als je dit leest, wil ik je bedanken voor het respect en de warme gastvrijheid die je die avond aan mij toonde. Dit zijn de soort personeel die Greet hotel bij de receptie zou moeten hebben die weten hoe ze hun gasten moeten behandelen. Heel erg bedankt voor je gastvrij en professionaliteit. Je bent gewoon een topper. Mijn compliment. Over het algemeen is het hotel erg goed met veel restaurants in de buurt en op 3 minuten loop afstand van het metrostation.
