I leave this review with mixed feelings. The location is excellent and the service was exceptional. Of course, I was the only one staying there. However, I do take exception with ownership. Originally, I had booked two rooms for my son and I to stay three nights. We had some property issues to address nearby so it was convenient. Unfortunately, a few days before leaving from the US, my son's company had an emergency and he was obligated to remain in New York and sort things out. I reached out to the hotel and they informed me that they couldn't do anything at that moment (the deadline for cancelling has expired). However, I went there and, in fact stayed, an extra night to deal with the property. Given the fact that I was the only guest and I did stay four nights, I believe that management could have been somewhat forgiving. They could have charged me for one night for the extra room but instead chose to charge me for all three nights. As much as I liked the place, I would not stay there again. I have travelled the world (not a boast but a fact) and in similar circumstances all hotels have worked with me to adjust their charges.

The location of Petra & Fos is amazing with a breathtaking view on the see. The Hotel is a typical example of architecture from Mani peninsula and a luxurious oasis in a privileged location. Rooms are spacious and finely decorated (beds are extremely comfortable). Breakfast is great with local products (try the best Kayana of the planet). The restaurant offers typical but no common plates with heavenly tastes. The personnel is extremely nice and they all make the difference!

Definitely place to return! Stunning view , amazing pool , great breakfast and very kind and helpful staff. Beautiful, neat and clean facilities. Also very pet friendly that made our little dog to enjoy the holidays aswell! ***!!!!!****!!!!****!!!!****!!!****!!!****!!!***

A superb place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Mani. Excellent facilities and outstanding sea views. Just a short drive from Limeni, Areopoli and Diros Caves. We would definitely recommend it and are looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Our stay at the "Petra kai Fos" hotel was unique! Wonderful place, our room was very beautiful, modern keeping the traditional stone of Mani, very clean with all the comforts and a magical view of the Laconian gulf from our balcony! The breakfast provided everything one needs, options for all tastes! The pool has a unique view that takes your breath away! Everything you need to enjoy the wonderful cocktails they make at the bar and that's it you're staring at the sunset! Not to forget to say how kind and welcoming all the staff were, especially Mairi (the girl at the reception) who welcomed us warmly and showed us around all the places and was always there for any detail and information we needed throughout the days! We were thrilled, we will be back soon because you won a place in our hearts! see you soon😀

A boutique hotel with amazing view over the sea and the hills of Lakonian Mani. The facilities were extremely clean and well kept. The family room for four persons was exactly as described before arrival, nothing was overstated.

We just returned from a week at Petra and Fos. It is a very hotel in a stunning setting. The construction mirrors the other buildings in the area. and the low key vibe was quite enjoyable. We were a group from America and so liked to hang together. P&F had many areas that were great for doing this. The service was impeccable, and the made to order coffee every morning was delicious. We also enjoyed 2 dinners here, they were both delicious. The owner was kind enough to join us for drinks one night and it was nice to get to know her a little bit. The view from the pool is awesome. The only complaint I would have is the water in the pool was awfully cold. We did not use the spa.

we arrive to this hotel and hoped to relax after few days traveling greece we called the hotel to check availability of spa treatments they answered no problem and confirmed the availability so we continue with our reservation,the reality was poor the room was nice with very small shower not giving u the feeling of a luxury the furniture vey simple no spa no treatments (they say;we need to speak with the man ,he is in Athen not here not sure he will come 😱) -in other words: not what they say on the phone the title of the hotel “spa” is not true! breakfast was ok but not more service poor the front desk ladies are very nice but it’s not enough to cover on the real situation we were disappointed the only thing that is beautiful in this hotel is the view of the bay from the infinity pool

Wonderful location with breathtaking views - especially from the infinity edged pool. Nice and clean rooms that unfortunately start to get filthy and old - as the complete hotel does. Only half of the outdoor area is used, the other half is full of dried and dying plants and un-used tables and chairs that are slowly rotting. There were no coffees included in the breakfast and one cappuccino costs 5 Euros. A very unpleasant surprise as you pay far less everywhere else on Peloponnese! Drinks and cocktails were also very expensive and in no relation to the prices in the places in Aereopolis. We felt sorry for Petra & Fos which probably used to be a really nice place but now feels like a mismanaged not very welcoming hotel.

Checked in Wed July 20 the for a wedding that was July 22, and in order to stay at this hotel there was a "4 night min" which that alone was a SCAM..... Nevertheless I had room 406. If you plan on staying at this place....... do NOT stay in room 406. NO AC !!!! TERRIBLE. First off this his room was supposedly a triple......it basically was a standard size room and some how they managed to squeeze in a king size bed and a single... VERY VERY TIGHT. The ocean view that is mentioned several times on their website did not apply to this room, 1 because we faced the side that was facing the mountain, and 2 we had the shutters closed all day all night to try and make it tolerable temperature wise. there was a very small old broken ac unit in the room. if you set it at the manger /owners suggestion which was I believe 20-22 C it made absolutely no difference. we were sweating the minute we walked in the room. it was so bad that I actually slept in the lobby where the fire place is because it was cooler. There are many many things I could state that were awful about this place. it was a BIG MISTAKE from start to finish. We woke up Saturday morning after the wedding and left. I hated every second of this place. They put us in the basement to get our hair and make up done for the wedding and we had no fans no AC no water or anything. I asked one of the staff members for water and he said " it is impossible to get anyone anything as we are preparing for an event". So I who am a paying guest at this hotel can't get service ? the owner had absolutely no one kind thing to say. She was mean, abrupt and a poor host. Anyway. most of the wedding stayed at Brazzo up the block and LOVED it so much! I wish I stayed their as well but in order to have a wedding at this place we had to guarentee 4 night min and to book al the rooms. TOTAL SCAM !! she over charged us from the min we step foot in there. As for the pictures of the place on the website and the actuality.... NIGHT AND DAY ! Please dont stay here. like I said. All PETRA NO FOS !

Where can I begin...If this hotel wasn't in such a great location, it wouldn't be in business! The location and staff were the only things going for them and the owner (reminds me of Cruella Deville) needs to own up to that and give them all a raise! I went for a wedding and we still had a GREAT time. The neighboring towns are AWESOME, but I am reviewing a hotel in which my room AC would not go below 23 C (74 F) and it wasn't even hot out. I had to close my shutters during my entire 4 day stay. I DID NOT SEE SUNLIGHT FOR 4 DAYS! When I confronted the owner, she told me the units were not made to go to 20 although that was a temperature setting on the units. I went to another room with newer units and I was FREEZING because they were on 20 and the temp was 20 - AMAZING! I told the owner all of this and she became confrontational - she told me I had a reasonable rate and I responded with "I'll pay you double if you could fix the temp". At that point she had enough of me and my common sense logic and completely walked away from me and went back to having a drink with her friend at the bar. This woman needs to own up and admit 1/2 the hotel has outdated AC units but I don't think her ego will allow her. She's lucky her hotel has that view and scenery but it's truly unfortunate you pay good money for her "broken clock" thinking.

Het is een mooi gelegen hotel, wel aan de prijs voor griekenland. De stroom viel regelmatig uit. De badkamer is klein en als je groter dan 1.75 bent pas je niet onder de douche. Er moet extra betaald worden voor een cupje die in de koffie automaat past.. het ontbijt is onder de maat voor wat ze proberen uit te stralen. Geen vruchtensap en geen cappuccino.. Er wordt geprobeerd een 4 a5 sterren kwaliteit te zijn. Dat redt je echter niet alleen met het gebouw en een zwembad. Het water loopt zo uit de douche in de badkamer. En bij aankomst lag er een dode rat bij de receptie buiten. Geen griekse gastvrijheid die je zou verwachten.

Σου παρέχουν ακριβώς αυτο που σου περιγράφουν και σου υπόσχονται ! Υπέροχα δωμάτια με σκανδιναβικό ντιζάιν παντρεμένο με μανιάτικη αρχιτεκτονική ! Καθαρά με υπέροχη θέα ! Έκλεισα το ραντεβού μου για μασάζ μέσα από ταμπλέτ που είχα στο δωμάτιο μου που μου παρείχε ευκολία και έλεγχο των παροχών του ξενοδοχείου για όλη την διάρκεια της διαμονής μου ! Πισίνα με εξαιρετική θέα pool bar ενημερωμένο ! Το εστιατόριο είναι μια εμπειρία από μόνο του !

Ήταν όλα φανταστικά!!!! Ήσυχο μέρος για να χαλαρώσεις και μόλις 10 λεπτά από την Αρεόπολη. Το προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου εξαιρετικό. Δεν υπάρχουν λόγια. Το ξενοδοχείο πεντακάθαρο! Η πισίνα φανταστική! Το πρωινό και το φαγητό εξαιρετικό!
