Hotel a 3 stelle a Ithaca

Amo questo posto!!!! Hotel preferito

Really didn't know what to expect when I booked the 1964 Shasta compact camper for 4 nights. I just wanted to experience something unique & different. My stay exceeded my expectations. I fell asleep to the comforting sound of rain on the roof & the gentle cooling breeze of a rechargeable fan. Room 6, that accompanies the camper, has a nice shower, sink, toilet, couch & end table, with plenty of room to store my stuff & power to charge my phone in air-conditioned comfort. The Grayhaven staff are friendly, eager to be of assistance, & easy to talk to. Complimentary breakfast items included delicious yogurt & granola, juice, oatmeal, peanut butter, apples, coffee & tea. Trays are provided for transport to your room. Upon arrival I found fire starter, wood & a s'mores kit waiting for me! The grounds are well kept & adorned with beautiful flowers that were in bloom. There are nice areas to sit in the fresh air & in the main house where the office is. Grayhaven has a very convenient location---you're minutes from all Ithaca has to offer. I hope to return to Grayhaven Motel in the future.

Le strutture di questo hotel sono molto grandi. L'hotel non ha più piani, invece, ci sono diverse sezioni, o ali. È un po' confuso al primo posto, ma il desk front lo spiega abbastanza bene. La colazione era solida, ma il sedile era pieno di tempo. In generale, buon soggiorno.

Siamo arrivati ad Ithaca nel tardo pomeriggio/inizio serata e abbiamo trovato un signore molto gentile alla reception che dopo averci fatto il check-in ci ha dato le tessere della camera. Esternamente le casine sembrano quelle dei film, mentre internamente la camera si presenta curata. Particolarità è che il lavandino del bagno è esterno, questo potrebbe disturbare se qualcuno dei compagni di viaggio dorme e tu hai necessità di usare il lavello, mentre il bagno contiene solo la doccia e il wc. Purtroppo la tenda della doccia aveva della muffa. E si vedeva che era usurata. Il letto è molto molto alto, tocca fare un salto tipo olio cuore per sederti sopra (e io sono alta 1,65!). L’hotel si trova vicino ad un centro commerciale, e di fronte c’è un cimitero…beh una location tutta americana! La mattina, nonostante il check out alle 10…già alle 9 c’era chi voleva venire a pulire la camera e ho dovuto dire più volte al signore delle pulizie che dentro c’erano ancora ospiti. La colazione permette di farsi dei waffle con sciroppo d’acero, di avere mandarini e banane, caffè non proprio buonissimo e succhi di frutta plasticosi. Ci sono anche degli yogurt e le mini porzioni di burro. Per tre persone, su una piattaforma online, il costo per una notte è stato di 144,20€ con colazione compresa.
