"I booked this hotel as a gift for family during a rugby match. The hotel failed to locate our booking, they then attempted to charge my family again despite me prepaying online, they eventually put my family in a room but not the family room with 2 double beds that I had paid for, instead they put them in a disabled room with one bed forcing a 15yr old boy to share with his grandma. The hotel acknowledges their mistake but failed to compensate us and instead only offered us the discounted price for the room they gave us. Caused unnecessary stress and downgraded customers who were not happy. Not good management of a hotel. Location is obviously ideal, room was clean and tidy and it’s great for rugby fans and those attending matches. It’s just disappointing about the service we received and the hotels failure to acknowledge and compensate appropriately. One positive was the SA rugby team were also in the hotel!"

"Mixed Experience at Hilton Syon Park: Room Delays, Unexpected Pool & other charges Rating: ★★★☆☆ I recently stayed at the Hilton Syon Park for four nights and had a mixed experience overall. While the hotel had some positive aspects, there were also a couple of disappointing aspects that affected my overall satisfaction. Let's start with the positives. The majority of the staff members I encountered during my stay were friendly and helpful (80% are foreigners). They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests, which made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Additionally, the hotel's breakfast, while very basic is just acceptable. The room was quite spacious and beddings satisfactory. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. Firstly, upon checking in at 5pm, I was disappointed to find that my room was not ready until 6:30pm. Although the gentleman at the front desk was kind and apologetic about the delay, it was an inconvenience after a long journey and negatively impacted my initial impression of the hotel. Another unexpected disappointment was the pool usage policy. I was surprised to discover that there was a charge of £25 per person for a 90-minute session to access the hotel pool, something that isn’t mentioned anywhere on trip.com. Considering the Hilton brand and the premium I paid, I did not anticipate such an additional cost for utilizing the pool facilities. This seemed disproportionate and out of line with the expectations I had for a hotel of this caliber. I heard other people complaining about it, even others complaining that they had paid for it and it was smelly. Additionally, it's worth noting that while complimentary water was provided in the room on the first night, I was surprised to find that there was a charge for the water on the following nights. This was unexpected, as I would have assumed that water would continue to be complimentary throughout my stay. It would have been helpful for this information to be communicated clearly, again not a nice feeling from a Hilton. On the whole, while the Hilton Syon Park had several positive aspects, such as friendly staff and an acceptable breakfast, there were a few disappointments that affected my overall impression. The delay in room availability during check-in, the unexpected charges for pool usage, and the shift from complimentary to paid water in the room were not in line with the level of service and value I expected from a Hilton."

"Lovely location and rooms. Lots of codes given to access parking and room which can be a bit confusing. The man on reception upon arrival from South Africa was lovely, welcoming and warm."
