Bella posizione di una guest house.che.permette di avere bella vista grazie alle ampie vetrate Le stanze sono un po anguste e non bisogna avere troppi bagagli anche se esiste un deposito Qualche ammodernamento sarebbe utile ma alla fin fine è tutto molto pulito e ordinato. Ci sono a disposizione numerose brochure ben compilate che consigliano varie gite ed escursioni nei dintorni e nell'isola. Colazione buona variegata Rupert ,dall'animo sensibile ,è un ottimo e preparato padron di casa

I was the only guest because of some ferry schedule disruption. Rupert was a very gracious host. The guest lounge was fantastic, with birding books and a pair of binuculous. There is also a little cubby library by the entrance with interesting books on local history. There is also ample free parking at the back. My room was very comfortable with the fluffiest duvet!

arrived at Brae Lea House, was easy to find, signs all over the place, was greeted by Rupert the owner, shown our rooms was very small, no where to put your cases, everything was on top of other things, shower room was very nice, breakfast was good, expect for the fried breakfast, found it very greasy the fried egg had been over cooked, no yolk, have to say Rupert was very informal, even checked our ferry as it was so rough through we might have to stay another night, no luck was the ferry left on time, he writes a small book, if you go follow the book, it took us all over places we wouold not have known about, there is ca rparking on site and a nice lounge to sit in and relaxe

Brae Lea House is fantastic base for solo walking. The accomodation is spotlessly clean with a lovely lounge, if the weather is bad. Tea & coffee topped up every day. The breakfasts are amazing! Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs being my favourite! Rupert, the host is so friendly & helpful, he can tell you all about the area and the walks on several of the islands. Bus stop is approx 5 mins walk and they will take you to Eriskay, Benbecula or North Uist. Make sure you check the time tables and don't miss the last bus back. Taxi service is available on Sundays if you need rescued after walking too far! 😀 Thank you Rupert.

Nice B & B. Rooms are relatively small but there is a nice lounge area one can sit in. Nice shower rooms. The host, Rupert, is a very welcoming and humourous chap who is knowledgeable about the local area - he has written a book on this. Little mention has been made in previous reviews of the breakfasts but these are well above average with various choices. Those sampled were delicious.

Good location for Lochboisdale and the ferry. Good parking. Lovely room. A little small but a big bathroom and there is a big guest lounge. Very clean and tidy and with great views. Rupert is a great host, very knowledgable about the area - and the wildflife - and quite a character! Left before the crack of dawn for the ferry so can't comment on breakfast but I'd bet it would have been good! Recommended.

We spent a lovely week at Brae Lea B&B in April. Conveniently situated a short distance from the Lochboisdale ferry terminal (quite walkable if you are reasonably able bodied and use a nearby footpath as a short cut), the guesthouse lacks for nothing. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All areas of the guesthouse seem to be recently and tastefully decorated. There is a guest sitting room with an outlook to the sea. Breakfasts are great, of high quality and with a number of choices including local specialities. Rupert, our host, was very welcoming and is knowledgeable about many aspects of the local area. We would definitely stay at Brae Lea again if visiting the islands We would definitely stay here again

Great place in a great location. Rupert is a great host, who will go above and beyond to make your visit perfect, will definitely be staying again on future visits, really appreciated the last minute takeaway coffee + Packed lunch during breakfast - Gavin

Rupert, the landlord has gone to a lot of trouble to conder everything a guest might want, there is even an EV charger just outside, (install the Zest App before arriving). If you are catching the ferry, book a breakfast ahead of time as it is first come first served. The ferry terminal is a 5 minute drive from the B&B
