Beautifully located! Needs to be kept up, it’s a bit run down.
The staff was great, the resort is set up nicely. Good for the buck, for all inclusive.

The Good: Very good buffet open most of the day; excellent soups, Mexican style foods, lots of salads, fruit, desserts. Great beach, probably the best around. If you’re a beach fan this is a great place. Lots of free beach chairs. Bikes and other beach lounging available. Nice pool with swim up bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and snack bar always open; minibar complimentary. Free parking in front of hotel. Apparently very crime free area. Many touristy shops within walking distance of the hotel.
The Other: A/C units easy to control but somewhat noisy; only one English language news channel (Bloomberg). To refill minibar requires request to front desk. Only one bar; limited wine selection. Only one restaurant; somewhat limited menu; requires reservation day ahead. They ask you to sit through a 2 hour sales pitch for their ‘membership’, which is a plan to pay cash upfront for discounted future visits and extra perks. If you plan to visit often this may be beneficial. Even if you don’t buy, they give you some options for a freebee. They encourage taking the passenger ferry from Cancun and a taxi to the hotel. Golf carts can be rented for $100 per day. Another option is a rental car transported on a cargo ferry for $80 roundtrip.

All the workers were nice. Food was good. Grounds were kept up nice. House keeping daily was nice. Easy check in and out. Bedding was great. Rooms are a bit dated.

This is a perfect spot for older people or families as it is very laid back. The beach is phenomenal, and it’s easy and safe to walk into town for entertainment and shopping.

Most of the staff was very friendly. The biggest problem was front staff. Not always as friendly n helpful as should be! Food was fair but everything was great.

The property was perfect for small children. I was worried at first that they did not have a designated pool or play area for children, but we did not need it because of the calmness and shallowness of the ocean surrounding the property. This was not a party hotel, so we did not have to worry about loud people or loud music. The buffet could have had more variety, but overall everything was great.
I DID NOT love that the front desk called our room and said they had a "gift" for us which turned into a timeshare sales pitch and I felt like I had to avoid the lobby the rest of the trip to not be bombarded.

Definately not the party scene. A place to get away, relex, decompress & enjoy the sound of the ocean. We love the way we feel here, the staff is wonderful & helpful. We can't wait to get back, this is OUR HAPPY PLACE!!!

This was a great property for a family vacation with young children. Staff was wonderful. The property is old but they seem to try to keep up with updates.
