Yadoya Lotus

Small accommodation run by a delightful couple. The location is unbeatable given that the Kabira bay is in a walking distance. The room was tidy and nicely furnished. We were a bit nervous about it being adjacent to the main road, but the town is very quiet during the night. There is even a cool jacuzzi for the guests. The only small annoyance was the toilet being outside the room. The highlight though is definitely the food. The owners have been working in gastronomy and it shows: each breakfast and dinner was a culinary dream, some of the best dishes I have eaten in Japan. Plentiful, delicious, local - simply amazing. The Ishigaki beef dinner was particularly special. There are a couple of cats and a dog sharing the dining area with the guests, be mindful of that when booking. The hosts speak only limited english but despite the language barrier they were extremely accommodating and friendly. Can only recommend.
