Very pleasant hotel with excellent, friendly, staff. Very clean hotel and excellent value for money. Rooms 219 & 221. The breakfast selection and quality was very good. Great location with cafe's and restaurants close by and a good shopping centre next door. Nice balcony, with ashtray, good option if you are a smoker Totally recommend the Alcázar Hotel.

We were allocated room 127 which was close to the open atrium leading to reception and above the hotel's restaurant. We could hear the dull thud of techno music from our room which is not what we paid for. I went to reception to ask when it would cease and I was advised that it would "be soon". At 10:00 pm, I wnt back to reception to say that I could still hear the music and was advised that it had been turned down but I advised the receptionist that I could still hear it from my room. The receptionist allocated me a different room away from the noise. I did not need to move my luggage until I left the hotel the next day. So although my initial experience was not good, the hotel did their best to rectify the issue as best they could. So, I have awarded them 5 stars because the outcome was very satisfactory.

The exterior of the hotel is somewhat reminiscent of some well-kept private hospital or a well-kept nursing home for the elderly. The location is very good. The room is very comfortable. The staff is kind and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable.

Really lovely hotel very well situated in Irun, with tall ceilings, wooden floors, good service and facilities. Also very reasonably priced and easy walk to all the main attractions and good access to the highway. Big bonus was the free parking in the grounds

Very nice hotel; our room was spacious with 2 single beds which did move when you turned. The room and the bathroom was clean and tidy. the hotel was close to bars and restaurant's in the area and about 20 mins walk to the rail station. the staff were friendly we had a pleasant breakfast.

We were very disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend it. The rooms we were given were nothing like the pictures advertised. The twin room smelt of stale smoke and was more like a room in a hostel, very depressing. Struggled to even get the shutter down. Bathroom in double was decrepit and awful, shower over bath which soaked room. They finally changed this room when towel rail fell off. Staff just shrug, there is apparently nobody to complain to. They need to put the true pictures on the booking sites, we felt ripped off. We asked for a reduction in the room rate and they refused. We asked to speak to a manager and they refused. They offered us a free breakfast as we ran out to catch our train. Ruined the last night of our holiday.

Good hotel for start of Camino del Norte. Staff nice. Breakfast slow because they serve you (maybe due to COVID?) but good enough. Good location and quiet. They accommodated my request for hot water before breakfast service began.

Le plus : parking gratuit, emplacement de l’hôtel dans le centre de Irun Le moins : les tarifs ont beaucoup augmenté depuis le changement de propriétaires. Le petit déjeuner a baissé en qualité et quantité. Nous avons eu froid dans la chambre et la salle d’eau. Chauffage presque inexistant !!!!
