Overpriced for what you get. The room is tired; a few damaged items - dripping tap, very loose door handle, toilet seat, flickering light, crumbs on the carpet. The lift isn't currently working so not ideal with heavy bags up flights of stairs.
Very friendly staff, especially the ladies on the breakfast service. Breakfast offering had good options and it's a good location for being right in the town centre.

An excellently located hotel - spitting distance to St Alkmund’s Church, the Bear Steps, and Pride Hill.
A nice clean room and excellent service, even a little complimentary sherry!
A tasty and varied breakfast available with a good selection to eat and drink.
Very recommended for anyone staying in Shrewsbury!

Positives : Located in prime location, Very friendly staff, nice breakfast options.
Negatives: Too expensive, rooms are not worth for the money we pay, decent place tho but very old build and expensive. only one charging socket.

一個非常古老的酒店，建與12世紀，作為酒店好像一百多年了，進酒店登記的時候送一杯當地非常美味的一種酒，非常特別，也很好喝。酒店房間乾淨整潔，早餐很好，除一部分麪包外都是是自己點喜歡的英式早餐，酒店餐廳裝修有特色很多幾百年的古董器物。

酒店比較老舊，兩點不到到酒店的，前台也不主動問好的，在前台等了1個小時，其他住客2:35就陸續拿到房卡，我的房卡問了三遍3:20才給。當時就納悶，好像我的房間很特殊，果然進到房間一看，房間特別小，門口過道1米都不到，床也衹有1.35米，找酒店前台溝通。前台説同樣房型有大有小，我因為網上訂的折扣房間，所以小一些。要換其他房間需要再加40磅，第一次聽聞這種説法。雖然經過攜程協調給換了房間，但浪費了一個多小時，感受特別不好。

Lovely old hotel with spacious rooms, good breakfast.
Access by car is limited because of Medieval streets and one way system.
We walked parking at Frankwell near the theatre £6.40 for 24 hours. Overnight is free. Hotel has carpark but even more Medieval streets to drive down.

The overall style of the hotel was lovely. Old fashioned, but in fitting with the style of the property. My room was quite noisy from the beer garden of the pub next door. This went on quite late and then loud music came on at 7am on the Sunday morning, all be it briefly).
The staff in the hotel were very polite and professional! Very welcoming! I would stay here again, but maybe ask for a quieter room!
