The Frobisher Inn (Iqaluit, Nunavut) rooms are clean and comfortable, especially so for an older hotel. It's centrally located and it normally has a shuttle running for the airport. Anna was our host and she is always extremely accommodating and helpful while also being cheerful. What a delightful lady!

We really enjoyed staying at the Frobisher. They have a great little cafe for your morning coffee and a wonderful restaurant as well. It was easy to walk to attractions from here or catch a cab. The rooms were clean, the windows opened, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

It was at best mediocre. We arrived there at 3 pm and were told our room would be ready in 2 hours. Only when I protested was it magically going to be available at 4. Old hotel, old rooms, urgent need for refurbishment - straight from the 80s. Nothing premier about this Bay view room (barely a view), beds are terrible, small window can be opened and then you get treated by loud noises from the construction site next door. Of course you have to keep the window open because even with the window open it is 80F in your room since there is no air conditioning. Everything else was very very average - would not return

Just disappointing in every way. Filthy room. The baseboard had blood on it and when I asked to have it cleaned they started talking in Philippine language in front of my face and rolled their eyes at me: disgusting, filthy, and would rather pay double to stay anywhere else . Don’t waste your money

Clean quiet room. Just what we ordered :) Not to be missed is a trip to the restaurant (The Frob) -- we had dinner and breakfast. Food is well above average -- and truly the best French toast you will ever eat. Take the recommendation to have the compotes (which are delicious) on the side so you can manage the flavours yourself -- but what made the experience quite special was the staff. Warm, welcoming and so very friendly and interesting to talk to. Just a great experience when an overnight stay re flights would normally pass without a second thought. Thanks! (Sorry I forget the restaurant manager's name, from N&L, but definitely a gem of a person and master of friendly thoughtful customer service).

I really enjoyed my stay at the Frobisher. The room was large, with clean and modern appointments and nice amenities. It was very homey, with an armchair and a good desk, and I actually wanted to spend time in the room relaxing. The TV is connected to a satellite that can be a bit dodgy (you kind of have to get the hang of it), and the free wifi only allows one device at a time to be active. Breakfast was not included in my rate, nor were airport transfers. The hotel is located up a hill from the main centre of town, but an easy walk. If you don't want to leave the hotel, it has 2 very good restaurants, a coffee shop, and is attached to a cinema and drug store.

The room was great and the staff was so helpful. Anna checked us in and she was amazing. I had an issue with the TV but staff resolved it promptly. Our business uses this inn exclusively. It is convenient, clean and comfortable. I had a water view which was quite pleasant.

A birthday lunch with my family of five (three adults and two children) came to $150.00 including a 20% tip. Service was good and the food was reasonable, but not spectacular - just okay. One of the dishes arrived with one important ingredient missing and when we inquired about it, were offered a substitution but the server was hesitant to not charge us extra for it. Wine was listed on the menu at $16 a glass, but we were charged $20. When we inquired about the discrepancy we were informed that was old pricing and our server simply printed up a new menu, in front of us, with the new pricing and showed that to us as proof! Not cool. I was just travelling through and will never return, but it was not a pleasant experience from my visit to Iqaluit. My family, who does live there, will most likely not return to the restaurant. There are other nice establishments in the area to choose from. I didn't go in expecting big city perfection, and I understand due to the remoteness of Iqaluit that pricing will be higher but pulling a bait and switch and cheating your customers out of their money is not a good look.

Did not see the location for the family restaurant. We accidently made our way to the bar and grill. Security was kind enough to show us the other restaurant.
