"Was going to stay at the Premier Inn a short distance away from this place but strangely the price was crazy - this place was about £100 cheaper. Cost us £110 BnB for one night. If you're unfamiliar with driving round Ipswich, I strongly suggest using a sat nav as it's just a mess and if you get in the wrong lane it's game over. :-) This hotel has chargeable parking but very reasonably priced for 24 hours and is just a short walk to the harbour with it's associated bars etc. A bit of work going on in the area so it should improve soon. The room itself was your basic Travelodge type, clean and pretty much all you need for a night. Had breakfast as well, a buffet style thing - all piping hot and very well kept. Travelodge breakfasts are comparable to Premier Inn ones and in some cases are better... For the price I would stay there again."

"Would like to thank the staff at Beacon Hill, for making my stay a pleasant experience, rooms very spacious, clean. Andrew in particular went about and beyond through my stay of over a week. The outside of the building is in need of some maintenance, updating, litter and cigarettes ends all over the site. Parking overgrown trees and bushes could damage vehicles. I did spot a few rats, on the entrance and clear that have around the building. Overall very accommodating with my dog and self. Giving a ground floor as have difficulty with legs. Also when extended was able to keep the same room, minimising disruption. Cleaners work hard, very polite and respectful. Reception staff welcoming and supportive. Although short staffed at times remained professional and friendly. Kind regards Mr R and Penny the therapy dog"

"Il Retreat East ha superato le nostre aspettative. Tutto il personale con cui abbiamo interagito era bellissimo, così amichevole e felice! La cabina era così bella, il punto di vista moderno e delizioso. Abbiamo avuto il pranzo domenica, il pranzo serale e il colazione e, oltre a una povera bistecca (come trattata in modo professionale) tutti i cibi erano deliziosi! Non eravamo sicuri che fosse stato incluso solo un colazione "continentale", ma era eccellente, grandi pasticcerie, frutta fresca e tutto quello che voleva. Non abbiamo sentito alcun bisogno di ordinare/pagare un colazione cotta, così come il Spa è un bel toccamento, L'unico negativo è che non tutti gli ospiti rispettano l'essere un sito gratuito e la nostra vista è stata divertita da alcune auto lasciate dalle cabine e non dal parcheggio."

"Have stayed at this Travelodge 4 times in the past year while visiting family. The restaurant serves a great buffet breakfast. There's road noise affecting the rooms at the front of the hotel. Rooms at the back are much quieter but you only get a view of the car park. Car park is now £6.50/day and may get full in the evenings."

"I’m still staying at Premier Inn Ipswich Chantry Park and thought I’d write this now rather than inevitably forgetting once I leave tomorrow. It was a very last minute stay, but I was accommodated with absolute ease and have been made to feel incredibly welcome. Every member of staff I have come across has been friendly, approachable and incredibly helpful, even when faced with my numerous slightly silly questions. Nothing has felt like too much trouble. The night staff have been equally brilliant, always really friendly and helpful whenever I’ve needed anything. There genuinely seems to be a fantastic team here, and it really shows that they take pride in their roles and in making guests feel welcome. My room has been exceptionally clean, private, quiet and comfortable, which is exactly what I needed. I’d especially like to mention Selina, who was running the breakfast shift today. She was polite, funny, approachable and clearly incredibly hardworking and efficient, but what stood out most was how genuinely easy she was to talk to. She took a real interest in the work I’ve been doing during my stay, rather than the conversation ever feeling like standard customer service small talk. Staying somewhere alone can occasionally feel a little daunting, particularly at breakfast when the room quickly fills with couples, families and groups. Selina’s conversation, attentiveness and good humour completely changed that. I felt far from being the isolated solo guest sitting in the corner. Excellent service throughout my stay so far from a fantastic team who clearly care about what they do. That extra bit of genuine human warmth really does make a difference, and I’ll be leaving tomorrow very glad I chose to stay here."
