Sunrise Hotel

We named this the Ios dungeon! And boy it was hell. Basically a hostel for the roughest people ever! First the room had the smallest hardest single beds! The bathroom was so dark you couldn’t see a thing and a rotten shower curtain! There were eyelashes on the floor, no cups at all in the room, and the hallway stunk of stale cigarettes! Also the cleaner on 2 occasions left the balcony door unlocked and wide open one time, which someone could have easily jumped up into!! Don’t stay here please unless you want to get awoken at 12am by yobs in the hallway for half an hour! Only good thing is you get a transfer from the port and back. The driver was lovely!

We've just left after 4 nights staying at the Sunrise Hotel as part of an island hopping trip around the Cyclades. We booked based on reviews and value for money, just wanting a base for exploring the island. The hotel does have quite a 'young' feel with lots of people travelling etc staying there. We didn't feel out of place though although it's probably not somewhere you'd aim to stay as a family or older couple. The hotel was ideal for what we wanted, we had a spacious double room (304) which had a massive balcony with an amazing view of the town and as far as the sea. The bathroom was what you expect in Greece but was clean and the shower was hot. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels which was great. There was also a large fridge to stock up with water and wine 👌🏼 and the air conditioning was very good! We used the hotel pool a few times which also has amazing views of the town. It seems to be quiet so you can always get a sunbed and it's also clean and tidy. We had a few drinks from the hotel and had lunch once which was nice. The hotel also provides a free transfer from the port which was brilliant and saved us getting the bus. Buses are very easy to use in Ios though and seem to be the best way of getting about. Getting to the town centre from the hotel does mean navigating quite a steep slope (not a problem for us but might be if you're less mobile). It's only a 10min walk (if that) but sound from the bars/clubs doesn't seem to carry which is good at night. Excellent location for bus stop (5 mins) which takes you to the port or Myloplotas every 15mins (€1.60) and a 10min walk to the centre of the town! Would definitely recommend.

This is a perfect hotel to stay in with very helpful and friendly staff. We were efficiently picked up at the port and returned there for our departing ferry all at no cost. The rooms are basic but have a fridge and a most wonderful balcony. There is a great view over the old town from the balcony. There’s a lovely swimming pool and you’re not far from Mylopotas Beach; the local bus can take you there.

Μείναμε στο ξενοδοχείο τον Αύγουστο του '23. Το δωμάτιο ήταν μοντέρνο πεντακάθαρο,απλό με εξαιρετική θέα στην αμφιθέατρικη χώρα. Ο νεαρός υπάλληλος που μας εξυπηρέτησε ήταν ευγενεστατος και πολύ φιλικός. Στη reception επίσης μας υποδέχτηκανε με άψογο επαγγελματισμό και δωσανε λεπτομερειακές πληροφορίες δίχως να κομπάζουν σε οποιαδήποτε ερώτηση μας. Το μπάνιο στην πισίνα ήταν ονειρικό. Άψογοι. Ευχαρίστως σε επόμενη επίσκεψη να ξανά μείνουμε σε ένα ξενοδοχείο που σέβεται τον εαυτό του και τους πελάτες του ισάξια!

Ωραίο ξενοδοχείο στην χώρα της Ίου. Μείναμε σε 7κλινο δωμάτιο αρκετά ευρύχωρο, όμως με μόνο μία τουαλέτα. Η θέα από το συγκεκριμένο δωμάτιο ήταν απερίγραπτη! Μεγάλο μπαλκονάκι με θέα τις εκκλησίες και τα σπιτάκια της χώρας, αλλά και την πισίνα του ξενοδοχείου （με αεράκι）. Όμορφη πισίνα! Το μόνο μειονέκτημα ήταν το ότι το δωμάτιο δεν ήταν τόσο καθαρό（ειδικά το ψυγείο-κατάψυξη και η τουαλέτα）. Η διακόσμηση δεν ήταν κάτι το ιδιαίτερο μέσα στο δωμάτιο. Πάντως είναι ένα βήμα από τα γραφικά σοκάκια και την νυχτερινή ζωή της Ίου και έχει κοντά στάση λεωφορείου, πιάτσα ταξί, καθώς και σουπερμάρκετ κάτι το οποίο είναι λογικό εφόσον βρίσκεται στο κέντρο

Μειναμε 5 μερες, μεγαλη παρεα ατομων, τα δωματια ενσωματομενα με ολες τις αναγκες, φοβερο προσωπικο και αψογη καθαριοτητα. Η πυσινα φοβερη το ιδιο και το μπαρ. Τοποθεσια αρκετα καλη καθως βρισκεται κοντα σε ολα τα μαγαζια που μπορει να χρειασετο καποιος μεσα στη χωρα
