Akti Hotel Ioannina

I had a room reserved for two nights but my flight in Athens was delayed, so only stayed one night November 2024. My room was on the third floor with a great view of the lake and mountains. I did have an issue with the keypad to my room door, but the staff were very helpful in getting it fixed. My room had a safe and nice bed. Because I am from the States I was not able to find where the heating system in my room was, I did not think it would get cold at night during the fall season, so I had to ask my friend to come pick me because my room was very cold and the staff is only site until 4pm, that I could not sleep in a cold room all night so I was not able to have breakfast. If you are from the states and stay at this hotel during the colder months, and you do not know the European heating system, you might want to reach out to the staff and ask them before they leave for the day. If you do their self-check in after hours, you will need to call the hotel to get the code to the main door and your room door as there is no 24-hour lobby staff on site. This hotel is right across the road by the lake and within walking distance to a supermarket. Be aware that there are dogs in the area that barking might be an issue at night. This hotel is not close to the city center, but you can still walk to it, just make sure to have good walking shoes. If you are also from the states, you might want to make sure you pay for your room as early as possible because I had an issue trying to pay for my room because the link the gal provided to me was not working for me, I do not have a EU bank account and did not understand their banking system. I had to call my bank to notify them so they could remove the security alert in order for me to pay the hotel because the charge was coming from Greece. $ U

The room was comfortable but we could hear the noise from the people walking in the corridor. Our room was labelled lake view which may be true in winter where trees do not have leaves but not in summer. There is a parking in the hotel. The reception is only open until 4pm, so we had to call to get the pin to check in and access our room.

The hotel has been great with an amazing view over the lake. It's very close to the city center, like 10 minutes of walking. The staff has been extremely friendly and the breakfast really good. You will definitely not regret choosing this hotel

The room was big and clean, and the bed was the best ever. the staff was very polite. The view from the terrace was great. It has free parking and the location that the hotela is in , is very convinient. The town centre is very close , although you need car to go to.

Not very friendly or experienced staff (except cleaning staff which was fine). Much noise from other rooms and reception. No good lounge facilities. Breakfast of very poor quality. Cannot be recommended.

Unique place to stay a couple even solo person for little time rest or business trip near to lake only 30 minutes from historical castle in centretown of Ioannina. The hotel is located in an ideal area for walking , jogging, bicycling however traveller have to find rent a bike or car store only in centretown and not at the closer area of hotel akti unfortunately but still i believe is the best place to stay in any case. It is indicated so the variable topic goods for breakfast going to satisfy everybody i have to say. Kidness staff able to help you with anything that you feel inconvinience , willing to give you informations about anything you need or to direct you on place you want to go for excersion . Rooms been cleaned everyday. It must be told that GreenLeaders Silver level is a worthy refer for this sustainable accomodation
