Please use side gate beside main house to gain access to the entry door located on the side of the casita. Once you've gained entry you can utilize the sliding glass door to more conveniently move between your vehicle and the casita to transport your personal travel items.Guest accessYou have access to the side gate to gain entry to the casita, the back gate to explore the back grounds, and of course, the parking area directly in front of the casita. Note: if you street park you'll have a better view of the grounds from the sliding glass door of the casita. A map of the land and its features will be provided upon arrival.The Cabin:The cabin has a delightful interior that blends rustic charm with modern day comfort. The open living space features comfortable seating and multiple windows that let in plenty of natural light while the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and stainless-steel appliances. There is no need to overpack for a stay at Sequoia Moonlight Ridge as our cabin has a laundry room complete with a washer and dryer for your convenience.After a day of exploring the ranch or hiking in Sequoia National Park, kick back and relax. Enjoy the views directly from the cabin porch and be on the lookout for some amazing wildlife sightings!Guest Access:You will have access to this private cabin and the 380 acres of private land shared only between our 5 cabins. This location is a family-friendly property with almost an acre of riverfront enjoyment!We have outdoor games such as ladder ball toss and corn hole. There is a large open part of the backyard for general running around…maybe playing a favorite family game or throwing a baseball or football back and forth. Directly behind the house are giant boulders that qualify for “King of the Mountain” status for the young and young at heart! Best of all is the river just below the outside dining patio. Just walk down a few steps, and you can wade in the whitewater middle fork of the Kaweah River. You can watch rafters and kayakers float past you at certain times of the year. We have a wide variety of birds, and watching their antics as they dart and fly through the trees along the beach is fun. We always consider it good luck to see the great blue heron fishing from a boulder or flying up or down the river. Deer and even bears walk through occasionally. (We have black bears here, which are usually very timid; it’s a thrill to see them foraging for acorns and lunging up a tree.)Gravel walkways surround the house and encourage you to enjoy the natural beauty of this spectacular location from every angle. The rock gardens and giant boulders allow you to sit quietly and listen to nature and your thoughts.This privately owned, single-family home is 800 square feet and sleeps six. It has one full bathroom, two bedrooms—one king and one double—and a full-size convertible sofa in the living room. It also boasts a washer and dryer in the outside laundry room (if you have used all your beach towels or shorts!). We have a newly remodeled kitchen with granite countertops stocked with all the necessities, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, blender, and toaster. There are some spices and spice blends to stir your creativity into making meals right in your own vacation home. In addition, there is a gas grill and a covered patio table for dining. There is also a fabulous rocking swing for two or three people to sit and watch the river go by!The sunny dining nook offers a nest to enjoy your outdoor views. Its cheery coral color scheme will light up your meals and offer a lovely space to sip your beverage if you don’t feel like going outside.Oak paneling, redwood shelving, and lace curtains give the living room a friendly atmosphere. The flat-screen television is compatible with mobile devices, Netflix, and complimentary WiFi. We are within walking distance of our famous Candy Store, the River View Restaurant, and the Beef Jerky stand. On the weekends, the River View Restaurant has live music.
