"Awesome ryokan with history! Very convenient to get to the place. The train offers beautiful views of the Hida Valley, mountain rivers and cute villages, this already prepares for a super experience. The purple bus will meet you at the station and take you up the mountain.
The ryokan is huge and consists of several buildings. And even if there are many guests in the ryokan, you will get a really calm and peaceful stay. The rooms are in a traditional style, each one is different from the other. The rooms are spacious and very beautiful. The windows open up to views of the mountains, the forest. The ryokan itself is like a labyrinth, you can wander through the corridors and each time find a treasure: private onsens, billiards, a rest room, a viewing site. I took a room with an onsen inside, and I never regretted it. It was wonderful to sit in my own onsen with a view of the mountains and admire the sunset. An unforgettable experience. The public onsen is also great. There is an indoor bath and an outdoor bath with wonderful decoration. The kaiseki dinner is also great. It is brought to your room. It is very tasty, entertaining and exciting. Each dish is elegantly served, served on the most beautiful tableware, which makes it equal to art. I only regretted one thing, that I did not stay longer. This day in the ryokan Yunoshimakan made my trip to Japan unforgettable! Thank you!"

"My stay at this hot spring hotel was disappointing, especially in terms of food and service. The dinner experience lacked any semblance of service standards. The food was already placed in the room before we entered, and the waiter merely asked if we lit the fire without offering explanations or providing a menu. They also kept forgetting different cutlery for various dishes, making the experience feel chaotic and unprofessional. The food itself was very ordinary, far below the quality I've experienced at other hot spring hotels.
The private onsen was another letdown, as the water switch was broken, leaving us unable to adjust the temperature or flow. This meant enduring uncomfortably hot water throughout. Breakfast was similarly disappointing—simple and uninspired, offering no surprises or variety. Overall, this hotel fell well short of the standard expected from a hot spring retreat."

"the place is famous, for thailand theater shows,
foods in many varieties but cant say good. when we check in we are greet by a front desk clerk,with no smile, and tired face.and since i was a foreigner but good in japanese, communication did not go so well though he is not nice explaning everything. but the foreigners workin there is so nice. the ofuro is good but can say not what we expect. in the morning we check out staff were all good and smiling."

Il bagno caldo all'aperto ha due posizioni di guaina, con lavatrice di capelli e guardiani, e il resto porta il latte di panino e simili. Il giorno dopo, il bagno caldo all'aperto è anche molto comodo con un piccolo bagno piovoso.
Il caldo interno non è andato a lavarsi!
E'che l'hotel è molto curvo per portare la valigia da solo. C'è una scala nel mezzo, poi si mette in ascensore, e poi si mette in ascensore per arrivare alla stanza!La scala è grande e deve essere considerata con attenzione

"Lovely onsen ryokan. Staff don’t really speak English so there’s a bit of trying to figure things out for yourself. Nevertheless, service was friendly and helpful as best they could. The outdoor onsen is really relaxing and because it’s not a crowded hotel, both times I went I had it to myself as did my wife and kids in the ladies area. We picked the room with its own outdoor onsen tub which is a great option if you don’t want to use the non-private ones. You can apparently book private onsens but they did not have any available for us (possibly because we arrived slightly late in the day). Food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Kids couldn’t;’quite enjoy the onsens cause they found the water too hot so you may want to make sure your kids can before you decided to splurge. One final point, the ryokan is located down a tiny road on the right just before Google Maps tells you that you have reached."

Fantastico
BbarbaraÈ un piccolo Onsen con poche camere, ma questo ha reso il nostro soggiorno più rilassante e confortevole. Servizi attenti con ansia di spiegare tutto a voi nonostante la barriera linguistica. Il privato Onsen all'aperto è stato un plus che ci è piaciuto molto. Il punto di svolta è stato la vecchia stanza e il bagno che abbiamo, ma questo è stato compensato dal cibo che era assolutamente fantastico e insospettivamente riempimento 😋

UUtente ospiteExcellent! Very satisfied for this onsen hotel!! Definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family. Everything is over expectation: services, facilities, room, public bath (onsen), food, and all. One drawback would be language barrier between some staff, but they really trying to communicate with us which is impressive. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service between train station and hotel during daytime, very convenient. Tips for me is to book this hotel on weekdays, it is half price cheaper than weekends or holidays.

C'è un'informazione alla stazione ferroviaria per chiedere aiuto come chiamare l'hotel, il personale lì vi aiuterà.🤗

UUtente anonimoE' davvero un hotel di tesoro, anche se un po' lontano dal centro della città, ma la strada di montagna è ancora molto raccomandata. Infine, la stanza è stata aperta a questo hotel caldo e pulito. La finestra è quella di due alberi di fiori di fiori super grandi e montagne di grandi dimensioni è davvero molto sensazionale. Il giorno in cui si fermava, pioveva e si inchinava.C'era una calda camera e fuori.Aperta 24 ore, e poche persone. Dopo aver preparato una tazza di latte caldo, è davvero molto comodo. La colazione e la cena sono anche molto buone. Sono tutte forme di pacchetto. Se pensi che i piccoli partner non mangiano abbastanza, possono aggiungere un po'di cibo.Questo prezzo è ancora buono.

SSophie MargareteThe hotel is settled in the middle of Gero Hot Spring town, short walk from the train station and can also be reached via bus from Kamikochi area.
The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. You can feel the spirit of older times in this hotel with a lot of beautifully selected decoration pieces.
The manager showed us around and even offered us a new room since I accidentally booked one without shower (we declined that offer since we only wanted to stay for one night). That’s why we used the Onsen area for showering which is beautiful and includes all amenities. View above Gero and including an outside Onsen area to watch the sunrise.
The staff was very friendly, the manager even drove us to the bus station since we forgot our jackets in the bus. The bar is well-equipped and a great place for a drink or two.
One of the best parts was the breakfast. Never had such a good Japanese breakfast before- delicious, served in a private room, beautifully arranged. Next time we want to try their dinner :-)
We felt like family and I can recommend anyone going to Gero to stay at this great hotel! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Ssjf1986aaa和隔壁富岳是姐妹酒店，還沒走到門口酒店的老爺爺就過來確認是否是入住的，人員名字都對上了，走的時候也是，預約了穿梭巴士，很早老爺爺就在門口等着我們，我們出門逛還貼心的為我們準備地圖，老一輩日本人服務真的沒的説，早晚餐有專門的房間吃，味道還不錯，房間有私湯，打開窗户就是户外私湯嘿嘿，還有樓上樓下幾個湯池，老婆一天泡了三遍，把所有湯池都泡了，下呂不大，就適合慢慢的逛半天，吃一些小吃，回酒店品嚐美食，看看雪，泡泡湯

DDonovan_lIt was a comfortable, family-run Ryokan style inn. There is free parking for those who drive. It is also walking distance from the train station. We arrived after dark and the staff told us there was no more dinner, so they recommended us a dinner place nearby.
For breakfast which was included, it was a full set and really delicious Japanese platter. We ate to our heart’s content. The onsen is located on the basement and the 4th floor, I like it specially for the rooftop onsen. The men and women onsen will swap at certain timings to allow each gender to enjoy the facilities at the rooftop. They give clear instructions on a piece of paper, and you just need to look at the colour of the cloth hanging outside the onsen. The hotel is located near the town centre, so you can walk around easily.

UUtente ospiteAbbiamo soggiornato in una stanza tradizionale giapponese con una vista molto bella sul fiume e sui treni che passavano. La nostra stanza era vecchia e avrebbe profumato vecchi mobili. I posti di letto erano confortevoli. La stanza era tranquilla. Avremmo avuto colazione e pranzo. E'una esperienza molto interessante, ma le persone con problemi digestivi devono essere attenti su molti piatti diversi. Non posso dire che le piaccia molto cibo.
La fonte calda è buona, c'è un bagno all'interno e all'esterno.
