Ginger Hotels, a budget brand under IHCL (the company that owns Taj Hotels), has gradually tried to improve its services, offering slightly better rooms and dining options. However, the pricing has also increased, with tariffs now closer to those of a 3-star hotel, depending on the location. We booked our stay online through a travel portal, which included a 20% discount on food and beverages. When our meal was delivered to the room, I noticed that the discount hadn't been applied and mentioned it in writing. However, during checkout, the front office staff didn’t consider it. Despite showing them the communication about the offer, the staff member claimed ignorance and said she couldn’t apply the discount. This experience was extremely disappointing, one of the worst I’ve had at any Ginger or IHCL property.
