AVOID! It's soooo expensive and yet its the worst place I've stayed.
Super rude staff refused to let me check in for hours! They insisted I didn't have a booking but I did and I showed them the booking confirmation but still they insisted I had no booking and that the hotel was full. The old couple didn't even look for my booking until they had kept me waiting for hours. Then they blamed me for everything! They were angry and rude to me and insisted it was my mistake. They even tried to kick me out. In the end they realised it was their mistake and were clearly super embarrassed about how they treated me but they wouldn't apologise.

It was very clean and comfortable, the host was very kind! Totally worth it after the cycling route it’s 10min away from the station.

Dormitorio Budget Comunicante (per una persona, con vista sul mare, edificio principale, piano base, con bagno)
Friends and I stayed here one night after finishing the Shimanami Kaido. It was no luxury hotel, but it was clean, neat, and comfortable. Location was in a part of town that frankly felt a bit run down, but we never felt unsafe, and it is in fact located very close to the centre of down, and just a 15 minute walk from Imabari train station. The manager doesn't work on site, so when you make your booking, you have to indicate what time you arrive so they'll come down to check you in. Otherwise, you'll have to drop them a message, or give them a call. You have access to the building's rooftop deck, which offers truly excellent views of the islands to the north, the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, and Imabari Castle. For the price, you really couldn't ask for much more.
