In 2021, all rooms in the hotel building " ehemalige Senffabrik" (old guest house) were renovated and a platform elevator was installed.
In addition, the restaurant was partly extensively renovated.
The Hotel Aquarium is renowned locally for its excellent cuisine. You can try some delicious regional and international specialties, while enjoying the view of the canal, or sitting out on the garden terrace.

Man fühlte sich gut aufgehoben in Ihrem Hotel. Bedienung superfreundlich. Sie können sich glücklich schätzen , dieses Personal zu haben. Die Zimmern waren hell und freundlich und sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbüfett war reichlich und man bekam wirklich alles. Es war ein super Aufenthalt. Würden gerne wieder kommen. Franz und Ruth

Ein wirklich schönes und angenehmes Hotel. Erstklassiger, hilfsbereiter Service, hervorragende Qualität der Speisen und Getränke und eine gute Ausstattung. Aber die Hitze im Dachzimmer im Sommer geht gar nicht. Noch nicht einmal ein Ventilator. Ein weiteres Manko sind die kleinen Badezimmer; Duschen für Menschen ab 180 cm nur mit eingezogenem Kopf. Dieser Nachteil ist den Dachschrägen und dem unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Bau geschuldet.

Ein schönes familiengeführtes Hotel mit exzellenter Küche. Das Schwimmbad und die Sauna sind sehr schön. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein Arrangement mit 2- 6 Gänge Menü. Man muss sagen die Küche war einfach ein Klasse für sich. Wenn für uns die rund 600 km nicht zu weit wären Würden wir 1 x pro Monat anreisen. Vielen Dank an das Team des Hotels.

Waren insgesamt sechs Nächte im Aquarium (dem Angebot Supersaver konnte man wirklich nicht widerstehen) und fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Ausstattung des Zimmers sehr gut, Freundlichkeit des Personals kaum zu toppen, Lage ruhig und doch zentral, die Beschreibung Boutique Hotel trifft es eigentlich ganz genau! Das im Arrangement enthaltene Essen nahe Sterneniveau, außer dem letzten Essen, wobei das Gemüse total versalzen war! Wurde zwar ersetzt, doch wer will das Gemüse noch nach dem eigentlichen Essen? Hat vielleicht der Chef an diesem Abend nicht selbst in der Küche gestanden? Aber das ist jetzt wirklich fast kleinlich, denn es waren wirklich entspannte und interessante Tage. Hinweis: Friedrichstadt mag im November fast „geschlossen“ wirken, hat aber dennoch viel Charme.
