Warm welcome, beautiful room. Very comfortable bed. En suite of very good quality. Everywhere spotless. No complaint what ever. Breakfast superb. Chris and Julie are warm friendly people and I enjoyed being there, especially as a solo traveller

The hosts Chris and Julie couldn't do enough for you. The dining room, bedroom, bathroom were very clean and pleasantly decorated. The breakfasts - full english or cereal toast were very tasty We will certainly stay there again. B and B Sheffield

WHAT A LOVELY BnB THE SOUTHGATE IS ! We went for a wedding on 31 AUG 2024 at Hunmanby Church and this had the perfect location for us in the middle of the village. There is ample parking just round the corner and it's easy to find. We were greeted by the lovely couple Chris and Julie Miller and they took the order for breakfast for the next day. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfy, the showers were great and there was a tv, wifi and tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Our cooked breakast the next day was excellent and the owners couldn't do enough for us ! This place is worth every penny !

Chris and Julie are probably the friendliest hosts we've come across. The breakfast was first class and freshly cooked to order. Huge teapot readily refilled. The room was spotless and although not huge, perfectly adequate for a few nights. Hunmanby is a lovely village and the station offers the opportunity to leave the car and travel into Scarborogh, Filey and Bridlington. The only reason I can't in conscience award maximum marks is the toilet in the otherwise adequate bathroom. While the bathroom is compact, the toilet is situated so that you have to sit sideways, unless you are very short. (I'm almopst six foot,m but the wife is 5' 5" (although not petite). The room number was 3 and this probably doesn't apply to other rooms. The sponge bed will suit some people more than a sprung mattress, but these seem to be spreading in accomodation. Would we stay again, yes, but not in room 3 if possible.

Good beds, good shower, spacious room, but most important; a very velcoming and charming host and hostess! They really made this stay something else! Sorry we didnt stay longer. Honesty Box for snacks and drinks, lovely dining area, and near "everything" i Hunmanby. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for one night and the owners went above and beyond by letting us check in early. Everywhere is spotless and plenty of choices for breakfast . There is plenty of places to eat near by plus parking is easy round the back of the property.
