We stayed in one of the hotels room right next to the main road, it’s awfully lound and nosing. Day and night. The curtains are not blacked out, didn’t have good sleep at all. Woke up at 6am not able to sleep at all. Avoid booking the room right next to the main room. Not worth it when you need a good night sleep. It’s awful feeling. Very disappointed ☹️

Booked this restaurant for my husbands birthday. Not a great choice - more like a pub than a restaurant. No space in the garden to have a drink - full of the shorts and tee shirt brigade or teens prom night, meal not great and service poor. We are limited in choice of restaurants as many have closed near us - sign of the times.

Stayed for one night en route home from a trip up North. We were impressed with the hotel, everything was up to a good standard, Our room #9 was in a converted stable and very comfortable, we had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was to a good standard and all the staff we met were friendly and efficient. We took advantage of the free entry to Waddesdon Manor.

Booked a dinner and it was delicious! I have not eaten in here for a while and it really was lovely, staff welcoming and we didnt' feel rushed. Venison and the beef pie were chosen , so tasty, hot plates and cooked to perfection! I reccomend. and great value for money when you compare with the dreadful souless Akeman Inn at Kingswood.

Often used to call at the restaurant in years gone by - the gammon, egg and chips was a hangover cure - but stayed with friends for the first time last night. A great experience - lovely rooms above the coach house, very nice salmon ceviche and monkfish tail. A very reasonable house Merlot and Sandy did a velvet smooth job of encouraging us to sample the port;) Above all really nice staff - friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, even setting aside the almost private table one for breakfast after we admired it the night before. Nice walk to Waddesdon Manor the next morning. Highly recommend.

Lovely building, very clean and well presented. Room was warm and comfortable with good amenities. Restaurant is quite expensive, food quality was good, but menu is limited.

Spent a night here with a friend getting away from our families to catch up properly.
We paid a very reasonable amount for bed and breakfast in a twin room and breakfast was really delicious with plenty of choice.
The room had a fabulous vaulted ceiling and the beds were really comfortable.
All in all a great place to stay and we would definutely return. Thank you 😊

The room was lovely, spotlessly clean. It's an easy walk to Waddeson Manor too with complimentary access for guests. We had dinner in the restaurant, the wait staff were fantastic but the food was quite average which was a big disappointment.
