Well, where do I begin. We booked a month stay in Wei Gang Wan in Huizhou to be close to family. We travelled from Hongkong international airport in taxi (approx. 2 and half hours) to the address provided by trip.com which turned out to be the wrong address. And then phoned the customer service in the evening to be told it was the completely wrong building, we had to to get an electric scooter down with all 4 large luggages and 5 people in, luckily we had the help of family to get about as its fairly remote and there's no taxi service around. The location was adjacent to local amenities and right by the beach. But you have to have Wechat - a Chinese App) to get all the info where to go and how to get in the room. It was not straightforward as we expected especially after 30+ hours journey and at night time.
The room has a sea view but different to pictures they advertised. Asked to change to a room like the ones they had on trip.com but told not available. Overall, the rooms are acceptable clean and spacious. The TV channels are very limited as they only had very basic package and did not subscribed to any additional packages, so it'm has very limited access to the Olympics games. WiFi is slow and restricted to access to certain western apps. The TV was old and the Backlight was faulty, however it was not replaced during our stay. Another problem was the bed surface very hard like sleeping on cardboard boxes.
Despite some issues we faced, I must say the customer service was very good, they available 24/7 and always there to help.
All in all, due to the location despite some problems we will consider to stay again in the future.
