Yunhailou Hotel

Ottima posizione a metà strada tra la stazione principale degli autobus e l'ingresso sud del monte Huanshang. Ci hanno offerto un'auto gratuita per portarci all'ingresso la mattina del viaggio alle 7:30. Uno degli addetti ci ha contattato tramite WeChat e ci ha incontrato per spiegarci (utilizzando un'app di traduzione) come e dove proseguire sul sentiero una volta in montagna, quanto pagare, i percorsi da evitare e come tornare a casa. È stato estremamente disponibile nonostante la barriera linguistica. La camera da letto era ampia e spaziosa, con una buona doccia calda. Le immagini dell'annuncio non erano corrette, come purtroppo abbiamo trovato. L'interno era antiquato e necessitava di cure e attenzioni. La reception era umida e ammuffita, lo stesso valeva per la camera da letto sotto la finestra. Abbiamo pagato per una camera con finestra, ma le finestre erano piccole perché eravamo al quinto piano. Tende e tendaggi erano strappati e devono essere sostituiti. Abbiamo mangiato al ristorante diverse volte e il cibo era davvero buono e a prezzi ragionevoli. C'è un negozio in loco e c'è sempre personale pronto ad aiutare. Ha solo bisogno di una bella tinteggiatura e di qualche ritocco nelle camere da letto, oltre alla rimozione delle tende strappate. È stato un peccato perché le immagini online non rispecchiano la stanza che avevamo effettivamente. Le prime 4 immagini provengono da un annuncio online. We stayed at this hotel mainly for its location, and it didn’t disappoint — it’s super close to the mountain entrance, and they even offer a free ride there, which was really convenient. What truly stood out was the receptionist. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to patiently walk us through the hiking routes, including the timing and pricing for the cable cars. He even gave us his personal ratings for each scenic spot, which helped us decide what to prioritize. Later that evening, when we hadn’t returned for a while, he actually called to check if we were okay — a really thoughtful gesture that made us feel cared for. As for the hotel itself, it’s decent. The beds aren’t the most comfortable, but they’re not terrible either. Cleanliness could be improved, but by China standards, it was pretty clean — the sheets and towels were fresh, and both the AC and WiFi worked well. Breakfast is very basic: boiled eggs, steamed buns, and soy milk for 15¥. Honestly, I’d recommend skipping it and grabbing some yogurt or fruit from one of the many nearby supermarkets instead. Overall, it’s not a luxurious stay, but for the price and the service, especially the staff’s hospitality, it’s worth considering if you’re planning to hike the mountain.

I recently stayed at Yunhailou Hotel and was quite satisfied with the overall experience. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient as it is already situated within the Huangshan scenic area. This made our sightseeing and hiking plans much easier to manage. The highlight of our stay was the excellent service provided by the receptionist. He was very accommodating and gave us a recommended hiking trail map for climbing the Huangshan scenic area. He also recommended a shared vehicle service to take us to and from the foot of the mountain, which was extremely helpful. The only downside to our stay was that the facilities were rather old. The heater from the air conditioning unit didn't warm the room adequately, and we experienced problems with the shower on our first night. Fortunately, the hotel staff fixed the shower issue the following day. Overall, our stay at Yunhailou Hotel was pleasant, and we appreciated the convenient location and exceptional service.

Nice service, welcoming and hospitable staff. Offered to drive us to the bus transfer point. The place however could be warmer and bit cleaner.

Room was nice and clean. It was little bit far from the national park. But person from reception always drive me there for free, which was really nice ! And they always booked transfer fór me to different areas! So in the end I did not mind distance.

The owner is super friendly and helpful. He happily and very quickly attended to all our requests. Pick up and drop off service is amazing. The food is super delicious in his restaurant. Location is the best. The hotel room is reasonable for the price. It just needs to be renovated because the hotel is old and the amenities are consumed.
