Great friendly (although could have been told bottled water was free when we arrived. Only found out second last day after our previously purchased bottles ran out.) Cabin clean Great location for what we needed. Bed comfortable, pillows ok Could do with a little frying pan in cupboard but otherwise enough ok

Not a good experience. Husband got gastro the first day staying here. Loud excessive noise from drunk neighbours near our site well after 10pm partying. Not great when trying to get kids to sleep. Not worth the money for a powered site. Big4 parks should be ashamed. This is not a family friendly park!

Amazing place to relax and for the kids to adventure and explore. Friendly helpful staff and clean amenities. We stayed 4 nights and still felt it wasn’t enough time to explore the park. The kids enjoyed the water park and multiple pools and loved collecting and playing in the leaves that fell around them, surrounded by nature and the sounds of children’s laughter. Definitely a place to visit.

Very happy with our stay, all staff very friendly. Amenities and attractions (swimming pools, spas & kids splash area) we’re all very clean and enjoyed by us all. So nice to come back at the end of a long day sight seeing for a nice refreshing shower, with great pressure. Free icy poles for the kids! Have been on the road for a few weeks and this park wins the title of best places stayed so far. Thankyou!

I booked a one bedroom cabin. The cleaner was in there for over an hour after check-in time while I was waiting with my 5 year old son. It was afternoon and we were tired. I have worked as a housekeeper before and know how long things take. Half an hour would've been acceptable. I went back to the check-in counter and asked for a refund so we could just leave. They offered an upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabin with a spa bath. It helped defuse the situation. I know it wasn't the person behind the counter's fault and told them so. I probably looked pretty agitated however. After that the stay was pleasant and we (my son) enjoyed the water play area. It's very close to Palmerston and the amenities there but far enough to feel rural.

We had a good size site. Clean amenities. Only complaint was pool lounges were extremely stained and looked dirty. Reasonably close to supermarkets. Quiet environment. Would stay again if up this way.

Great for the kids . Great for us . We stayed here with our two kids 4 and 6. Check in was easy with great customer service . Every interaction we had with management was great . Our family cabin was clean and well looked after . We had a great time swimming in the pools . Kids loved the place . Was a great place to stay with lots of things near by to do . Will stay here again .

With 2 teen boys we didn’t need the playground as it was out of action. Disappointed the jump pillow was out as well but it’s New owners so it would be nice to come back in 12 months to see the improvements. Good pools but need TLC and cabins need a couch and a good once over to make it more comfortable. If your not fussy it’s a great place to chill out. All the best

This is our second year in a row staying at Howard Springs big 4 and to be completely honest I'm unsure on why there is so many poor reviews. We were treated extremely well over the phone when the booking was made, on check in and check out. The staff were extremely friendly. We stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin and it was far bigger then I had thought, it had all the amenities you would ever need wether you were staying 2 days or a month, everything was clean and tidy. The grounds are very well looked after, the pools are clean and very welcoming, and the BBQ areas were nice and clean also. The bird life, the frogs the friendly park dog all make this place one of the best we've been too. Thanks big 4 howard springs on yet another wonderful stay
