Lansdowne House Hove

From the outside an impressive building, but nightly rates not cheap, so expected more. I was ‘welcomed’ and taken to my room and given all the information quickly, almost parrot fashion. I didn’t really feel it was a genuine warm welcome, I couldn’t fault what I was served in my room for breakfast - it was freshly cooked and delicious. However, I was disappointed that there was no choice for fresh fruit (if choosing the full breakfast) or toast and conserves. My main concern was the large damp patch on the top left corner of my room. I was encouraged (by pals) to complain and ask for a discount - I didn’t do this. It didn’t affect my stay, but really shouldn’t have been there in a room that cost more than £200 per night. I enjoyed my stay in a lovely room. I have stayed in numerous Airbnb’s in the UK and abroad. This is just an honest review without being petty. I hope you’ll sort out the damp patch … and provide fresh fruit and toast whatever breakfast you choose! Thank you.

We love the area and gave this place a go. Sooo pleased we did. Natalie was very welcoming and the room was immaculate (we stayed in the Grey Room). Really comfy bed and the breakfast was bang on. Loved the sausage. Will stay again!

What a gem of a place! Ideally located for all main attractions in Hove and Brighton, 1 min walk down the road to the Beachfront Promenade. Natalie was very welcoming and helpful on arrival and was available if we needed anything. We stayed in the Green Room, which is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The King size bed was super comfy with gorgeous, high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and pillow cases. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower with plenty of power and a deep free standing bath, ideal for a long soak. Well equipped rooms with bottled water, biscuits and a pod coffee making machine, with fresh milk in a Chilly bottle was replenished each evening. The breakfast choice was extensive and we had the choice of taking this in the garden room or in our room, where we chose to sit in the double bay fronted floor to ceiling windows, with the morning sun shining through. The cooked breakfast was superb and very well cooked, especially the poached eggs that were done to perfection! Overall we can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to the area. Thank you Natalie, we loved your hotel.
