Everything about our stay here was amazing! Firstly, the customer service from the moment you pull into the entrance to park up is 5*. Friendly, excellent attention to detail whether that is remembering names of clientele, what has been ordered, room numbers, quality of conversation. Secondly, the location is just breathtaking. Thirdly, the rooms, pool, bars, restaurants and everything associated with hotel accommodation Lastly, and not least the food and wine!!!!!!! Top notch without being stuffy. Our party comprised a 2 year old, two twenty something couples and us (in our sixties, albeit sprightly!). Each one of us had an amazing stay and will be back. Well done to Melissa and her fantastic team!!

Our stay at Tintswalo Atlantic for our 8th anniversary was amazing .We stayed there for the first time and all our expectations were exceeded beyond limits,from up top at the gate/concierge where you feel at home .Every single person from the receptionist Yolandi to our hosts Johnathan, Mawethu, and wait not forgetting staff and senior management, they made us feel like the most important guests alive. The tapas menu was exquisite. The breakfast was as amazing and we had a chance to sit on the deck spotting dolphins which was the highlight of the day. The entire setting was just stunning. Works class. We will be back

This is one of the most exceptional hotels, the service from the universally beautifully trained friendly staff cannot be beaten. The food is beyond belief, they consistently over five nights produced totally delicious treats from the early evening canapés to a comprehensive breakfast via superb original main courses or the truly superb taster menu. Our bedroom was light and airy with a wonderful panoramic view of the sea where we were lucky enough to see dolphin in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble I could not recommend it more highly.

Imagine you arrive from northern Europe during winter time and you land in Cape Town with 25°. Half an hour later, you are at this amazing place right on the water and you’re welcomed as you were the guest of the year. The Tintswalo Atlantic is a little jem hiding in South Africa. The place is on the water, pieds dans l’eau, and hosts one of the most delicious restaurants we have ever tried. What is really worth to mention apart from the very cozy and beautiful room (and do not forget to light up the fire in the room in the evening) is the friendliness of the crew and the amazing service. Jonathan and Patrick have been hosts that would check in to see if we would enjoy every moment. Tiaan has been our gourmet advisor and gave us the best hints about the menu. You definitely should try the tapas and if you spend the night at the Tintswalo, you shall try the resident menu. The waves an accompany you to the sleep every night and are the first thing you hear in the morning.

I booked this for one night, as a surprise for my partner for our anniversary. It did not disappoint, in fact my only regret is booking one night, minimum two nights would have been better. From start to finish we had an incredible experience! There was nice little extras placed without warning in our room for our anniversary which was a lovely touch! We now plan to stay every year!

I was highly anticipating the stay at the hotel due to the positive reviews, but was sorely disappointed. While other travelers found staff friendly and helpful, I found the opposite with some members of the team. The service varied significantly, with some exceptional team members, and some who were rude and standoffish. I ordered room service one evening, and the team member who took my order was astoundingly rude. The restaurant where meals were served was often dirty, with breadcrumbs over the floor and seats. We ate one dinner at the restaurant and the food was extremely underwhelming. The saving grace was staff including Lee-Ann, Jonathan, Patrick who were extremely responsive and apologetic about issues we experienced, and dealt with them efficiently. I also appreciated the lovely gift left for my parents as we were celebrating their wedding anniversary. Other observations for future guests: 1. The hotel only offers meals at the Chef's Warehouse restaurant on the property. There is a modified residents menu which is not the restaurant's focus, and probably why the meals are not of a very high quality. It is also extremely limited for special dietary requirements such as vegetarian or vegan. 2. If driving in the city, you will have to park your car at the entrance and be driven down to the property. While this is a minor inconvenience, the staff at the front gate are not particularly welcoming, and do not recognize return guests. 3. Management are fantastic and should be commended, but general staff particularly those on the phone, or at the restaurant dealing with hotel guests could benefit from additional training. 4. The bar man at the guest lounge is fantastic, and made amazing cocktails/mocktails. I also highly recommend the chilli martini at the restaurant - one of the best drinks I've ever had. 5. The location and position right on the ocean is spectacular, and the rooms are well appointed/stocked with teas/coffees etc. Overall, I would conclude that in my opinion, the hotel falls far below a 5 star property. While the location is incredible, what really sets a hotel apart is the service, and this one stood out for all the wrong reasons.
