Sonder the Hogg Palace

My stay was great. This place had everything I needed for my business trip. 1BR 1BTH was very spacious, bed was very confortable. Its very secure and I felt safe the entire time.

I think the steam punk design was great, but you definitely need to be into that type of interior design. My apartment was clean and there were no maintenance issues. Check in was easy, and I would suggest downloading the Sonder app to receive your updates and codes. Only issues: I updated my arrival and housekeeping was still cleaning, one of two elevators was in service, and my room was 80 degrees once I finally was able to get in. Additionally, I could hear the guy coughing next door, which I was surprised … but please note these are extremely thin walls and I was on the 7th floor. This was a quick business trip; therefore, it met my needs for 48 hours.

Pros: roomy, comfy bed, huge closet, full kitchen, good location near a lot of restaurants and walking distance to a cvs, underground parking, clean, responsive staff when we needed something. Cons: can get a little stuffy because the windows don’t open, needs a shade on the inside of the bathroom door (it has a glass center), some guests were too loud. Overall we loved our stay and would go back.

My stay at Sonders was amazing! The property was very easy to find and the space was very accommodating I would definitely book again whenever i’m in the Houston area.

Really liked the space, lots of room which was nice. A little tired, could use a bathroom update. The biggest downfall was the paper thin walls. I could hear our neighbour snoring.

Large room with complete kitchen and large refrigerator. Large comfortable bed and very quiet!

Everything the koft was big and beautiful. No tv in the bedroom which wasn't a problem for me but other my want to watch television.

Before staying I really thought I would be able to give this place a 5 stars and honestly I’m disappointed that I couldn’t. 1. The fact that they don’t have an automatic door button is annoying, esp when you first get there and leaving because you have all of your luggage and you have to get back to the door before the door locks again. Not having someone to physically talk to outside of the app is really more of an inconvenience than advantage. Had an issue that sat for pretty much 3 days. They did offer compensation which I did appreciate. (If you book through a third party make sure the refund has gone through on the platform as well) The walls are so thin I could literally hear someone getting busy and I mean like the slightest details at 3am and I was LIVID. Bathroom was spacious. I loved the full kitchen. Made it easier. The living room was nice and the smart tv is a great idea because streaming was easier. Nice area in general. Lots of food options of all degrees from fine dining to a local taco spot. There isn’t really much to do activity wise in the area though. You would have to hit the heart of downtown which is 15 minutes away so think of modes of transportation when you stay here. All in all I would stay here again I just know what to look for.

This place has a great vibe. Do not however take anything large to park in the garage. Smaller tight spaces. That being said, it was close to everything i wanted to visit.
