One night stay at heathrow after a flight. Emailed hotel the night before to ask for a nice view as it was my brothers birthday treat and he loved watching the planes. Had already booked a runway view room but some are on lower floors so more restricted. On arrival at the hotel they had upgraded us to a suite which was a really lovely gesture however we had booked a twin and the suite was a double. We asked for the sofa bed to be made up. After 4 visits to reception and a 5 hour wait, housekeeping finally made up the sofa bed. By this point we were extremely tired as we'd had a really long day so it did damper our experience a little. The birthday cake and note in the suite were a lovely touch. With the upgrade, we were given access to the executive lounge which has a great view over the runway to watch the planes. Drinks available all day with alcohol in the evening and canapés. Unlike every other executive lounge ive been to, the canapés were served plated to your table which seemed a little strange and also made the service very slow as the lounge was full. Also meant there was a higher level of wastage as people didnt want some of the selection. Based on this visit, I wouldn't book a room for the lounge access. There are much better hotels at the airport with better lounges if that's what your looking for. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Again, great view of the runway. Aircon wouldn't go below 20 which was a little annoying with how warm London is at the moment. Great selection at breakfast. Friendly staff. Delicious food. I would stay here again but wouldn't worry about access to the executive lounge as that was disappointing.

This hotel was awful! It was awful and I will never be booking it again! My mum arrived at the hotel before me to check in as I was arriving on a flight. When she got to the room she found that the toilet didn’t work and didn’t flush. She called down to reception and the lady on the phone said she would send someone up straight away. 90 minutes later she still hadn’t had anyone arrive but she needed to leave to meet me at the airport. She called back down to reception and was told that they would send someone straight away and once she had to return to go straight to the front desk. She was told on the phone it would either be fixed or our room would be changed. Mum goes off to collect me from the airport. On our return we went straight to the front desk as we were told. However this time, no one at the front desk new nothing about this. They sent someone there and then to check the room and we were told that it had been fixed. A member of concierge took my luggage and when we arrived at the room, threw my bags in and stormed off. No hello or goodbye. He was very rude but we just left it. As soon as I used the bathroom, the toilet didn’t work again. I went down to reception and complained again and they said they would change our room. I got told to head back to my current room and someone would come and help with the bags and take us to our new room. The same member of concierge arrived at the room, threw the bags on the trolley and stormed off down the corridor. Myself and my 60 year old disabled mother struggled to keep up with him. In the end I shouted down to him asking what room we were going to. He shouted back the room number without stopping. It’s key to mention that both myself and my mum are hard of hearing so it was a struggle to hear. My mum also struggles to walk so I shouted back to him asking the easiest way to get to the room. He told me to follow him. He made us go the longest way round, down the stairs when really, we later found out there was a closer and easier way to go. Once again he threw the bags in the room and stormed off. I was not impressed. Over dinner, the waiter who served us STANK of BO and was incredible rude to both myself and my mum on serval occasions. Especially when my mum asked what a sauce was and he resounded ruddy asking “how did she not know?”. The new room smelt of smoke at was very dusty. During the night, my mum woke up in extreme pain and we realized the duvet and pillows were feather based. My mum is highly allergic to feathers and there was no warning in the room or on the site saying this was the case. I truly think this should be disclosed. At breakfast the next day we asked a member of staff if they could help us clear the table. She groaned loudly and barely wiped up. As my mum is disabled and struggles she asked a member of staff if they could help her get an item (as a sign did say to “ask a member of staff if you require help”). 30 minutes later the item still hadn’t arrived. We asked another member of staff to which she responded “I’m not doing that because it will come eventually”. I asked her to still get it because clearly the other lady forgot. Then eventually both staff members came over with the item at the same time. Why it took so long I have no idea. Overall the staff at this hotel are INCREDIBLY RUDE!!!! I was shocked. The overall experience was awful and we will never be returning.

On arrival after a very long trip,l was checked and they were pleasant. I asked what kind of coffee was in the room as l detest Nescafé. I asked if l should get a coffee from the cafe and was told no you should alright. I got very confused in finding my room, the directions were not clear enough l walked around twice before finding my room. Once in you guessed it the coffee was Nescafé!! I phoned reception to see if l got a plunger coffee but sadly they said no. On the upside sheets on the bed were amazing best in 4 weeks of travel. Bathroom - looked tired and worn, the base of the shower was worn out. The glass shower panel was not attached to the ceiling and was rusty, the bottom of the glass panel was green with mold. When l had a shower the lead was so inflexible l had to have it face the wall otherwise it would flood onto the floor (the door base had already been painted over due to flooding) The lamp on the desk was not working when l first got there but first thing in the am worked for a while. I order breakfast did not realize l needed to go pick up and lug it all the way back to room! So l got up early and still not arrived by 7:30am l called reception and was told that option was not available l would need to come down to the buffet. Which l did and once again the coffee was so bad l only drank a couple of mouthful. After l went straight to the cafe only to be told the coffee maker was broken!!! I will not recommend staying there, distance to the room

Arrived early morning after a 12 hour delay to my flight. Front desk staff were excellent and had kept my room open so U could use til check out. I’ve stayed at this hotel some years ago and was disappointed and consequently have chosen hotels around LHR for the 7 or 8 trips. However Renaissance has really upped its game in particular the check-in/check-out process and is worth the price difference compared to similar north and south side hotels
