Hostal Don Suero de Quinones

At the end of longest bridge on the Camino Frances is this wonderful little hotel. The small deck offers nice views of the river and jousting fields and provides a perfect place to reflect on your day’s walk.

I have booked 29 accommodations for our little party of four who are doing the Camino in stages. This is the first time we have been disappointed. True, the hostal is clean and perfectly located. But, upon arrival our triple room had only 2 beds prepared. This was sorted but more disappoin**ent lay ahead. The dining experience was not very good to say the least. The food is no more than pilgrim menu quality at twice the price, but the icing in the cake was when the host threw out our second courses on the table when one of our party was only half way through his first course. We hadn’t been at all slow over our first course, but the host obviously had his own agenda regardless of his paying customers. The beautiful town, it seems, has a lot of nice hostals both modern and older/quaint. I would recommend passing this place by and booking somewhere else.

Twenty mile walk from Leon along road, tired and dirty. Clean room, good shower, loads of sockets for phones etc and the best air con ever. Owners were pleasant. Can't comment on food but an excellent place to stay for your Camino de Santiago.

Hot and weary, we arrived, having walked from Leon. The bridge seemed to be never-ending..... we stumbled up the steps with our heavy (not really, it just felt that way) pack. Our host greeted kindly, and we made it to our room. What a lovely view we had of the bridge and jousting field. The beds were soft, the room cool, the shower strong! It was an effort to get up again. We had a lovely meal, great wine, and up to bed. An early morning coffee and tostados con tomato and off we went. It was a lovely treat to stay here, and we loved it and our host. We hope to stay here again if when we return.

Nice place and very good location for the Camino de Santiago.

Das Hostel liegt direkt am Jakobsweg am Ende der Steinbrücke. Es verfügt über ein Restaurant mit anspruchsvoller Speisekarte und leicht erhöhten Preisen. Frühstück wird angeboten, ist aber sehr übersichtlich. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber modern eingerichtet. Sie verfügen über TV und kostenlosen Wifi. Das Bad war mit Dusche und neu!

Heel mooi gelegen hotel met mooi uitzicht op de oude romeinse brug, heel rustig. De ontvangst aan de receptie kan vriendelijker. De kamer is van alle comfort voorzien. Het ontbijt was beperkt maar heel lekker. Ook hier dezelfde niet zo vriendelijke bediening als aan de receptie.

Hostal en Hospital de Órbigo en el Camino de Santiago con habitaciones justas pero impecable de equipamiento y limpieza. Muy muy recomendable tanto si estás haciendo el camino como si quieres hacer una escapada tranquila!! También se puede comer y desayunar…
