Lan homestay Information
Located deep in Cat Ba National Park, far away from chaotic urban life, Viet Hai village is
the only place where visitors can admire the wild beauty of an old-style village in Cat Ba. This
one of very few traditional villages you can still visit in the north.
With a population of less than 300, Viet Hai people mainly live on farming, fishing and
aquaculture. In recent years as tourism demand has grown, many family households have
turned to eco-tourism, with the aim to keep tradition alive and be environmentally
responsible. Viet Hai has become an ideal place for domestic and foreign tourists who want to immerse in nature and explore the forests and mountains.
A place not to be missed when visiting Viet Hai is Lan Homestay. Here you will see traditional style living with thatched roofs, ponds, and orchards. This is the place to explore
the national park and Lan Ha Bay, which is the less touristed and more scenic sister to Halong Bay.

Сам хоумстей отличный! Отдельный номер - отдельное бунгало. Но, обратите внимание - прежде чем бронировать - где располагается этот отель. Находится на самом отдалённом причале на острове, в далеке от цивилизации. И, вам нужно минимум ещё потратить 600vnd от основного причала, чтобы добраться до причала где находится хоумстей. Кроме хайкинга заняться особо не чем, велосипед в аренду брать не стоить.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Republic Hostel on Cat Ba Island, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Location: The hostel is situated in scooter driving distance to Cat Ba Town, local restaurants, and shops. It's the perfect base for exploring the island and its stunning natural beauty while staying out of the busy town.
Facilities: The hostel offers clean and cozy dorms and private rooms, all equipped with air conditioning and hard, yet comfortable beds. The bathrooms were acceptable, and the communal areas were perfect for chilling by the pool.
Amenities: Republic Hostel offers a range of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, kitchen where you can order food from, and a delicious free breakfast spread each morning. They also organize island tours, and other activities, making it easy to experience the best of Cat Ba.
Atmosphere: The hostel has a lively and social atmosphere, with regular events and activities that bring everyone together.
Value: Considering the excellent facilities, friendly staff, and prime location, Republic Hostel offers incredible value for money. It's a must-stay for anyone traveling to Cat Ba Island!
