Super 8 by Wyndham Holton

I called and made a reservation. When I checked in, later that same evening, I was told the rate was higher than I'd been quoted for my "confirmed" reservation. When I said "o.k., but I was quoted the lower rate", the desk clerk copped an attitude and said the regular rate was much higher. I had a couple other issues that night also with the room. Each time I contacted the night clerk (tall middle eastener) he was dismissive. The room was not in order. One of the lights was missing a bulb. One of the lights didn't work. The TV had limited selections and the "guide" to the channels was inaccurate. No "Do Not Disturb" sign. One was not available at the front desk, either. The breakfast was lame. A lesser version of what is normally at a Super 8. No bagels, no English muffins. So, overall, a big letdown, even for Super 8.

Although the property is a bit dated, everything is very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning is just fine,. This motel has a good price and a good value,. Very convenient to be close to family members when visiting from out of state.

Suitable for a single night. Bed was springy, noisy and firm but sheets were clean and sleep was had. Decent water pressure in shower. Friendly, accommodating staff. Reasonable breakfast with biscuits and gravy, waffles, hard eggs, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. Would stay again if passing through.
