A well-situated guesthouse on the water in Holmvik. Rooms are VERY small and VERY bare bones. If you’re a large person, look elsewhere - you literally will have difficulty getting in the bathroom. But the staff was very friendly and patiently helped me with a booking snafu. Breakfast was the weakest I had in Iceland - cereals, toast, and boiled eggs. Very basic. But the location is terrific and my room was quiet and comfortable. I would have given three stars for the high cost, but added a star because of the service I got.

Lovely small guesthouse with friendly staff and clean, tidy room. Arrived on a very windy and cold day and were greeted by staff on arrival. Our room on the downstairs level with bathroom attached was good, the bathroom is compact but was modern and was perfectly fine. Breakfast was quite simple, but was good to start the day with something. Location great and the town is tiny so nothing is far.

Check in was a bit unusual. The building has hotel rooms on the lower level, a cafe and B&B rooms on the top floor. Check in is at the cafe. Once we sorted that out, the staff was very friendly and escorted us to our room. The room was spacious had a great view of the harbor. The stay included a nice breakfast in the morning. The only downside was a very tight/small bathroom.

An excellent location to start your West Fjords adventure. It is clean and comfortable with small rooms. The breakfast is good and there is an excellent restaurant across the street. It worked out well as a first stop driving from the Keflavik airport.

Stayed with my friends at This guesthouse and it was a great experince, we meet the owner Þráinn all I van say is that He is a great gist that makes Sure his guests Are comfortable, definitely going back there next time I go back west! Thanks for a great stay!😁

The owner and manager Thráinn took such good care of us, and we had the whole hotel to ourselves so we stayed up late just chatting with him and hearing his stories. A wonderful late breakfast awaited us before leaving, and we will definitely be back! Great patio views of the fireworks too, on the last day of Christmas in Iceland :)
