Combe House Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay at Combe House Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. Gareth and Catherine are simply made for hospitality – the perfect hosts – and Lisa, Alexis, and the rest of the team were all incredible. The hotel itself is wonderfully cosy with a real "home away from home" feel. Our cavapoo, Ponyo, was so comfortable and excited to be there – it's clear that dogs are truly welcome, not just tolerated. Being tucked away in the middle of nowhere made it a dream escape – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The food was absolutely amazing. As vegetarians, we were delighted by how accommodating the kitchen was, going above and beyond to create special dishes for us each day with plenty of variety. We’re already looking forward to coming back – it’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right.

We went here as a family today 19th May 25 for breakfast as we're staying 50 yards away. Sign breakfast Monday to Friday until 10:30am. 3 of us arrived at 9:40 to order breakfast to be told they had stopped serving breakfast. I said but your sign sais served until 10:30am? She asked the kitchen if they had turned tge cookers off and we heard the girl say don't worry I can tell them no. I said to her and lady in reception I suggest you change your signage then to breakfast until 10:30 if we can be bothered!! False advertising and a pure don't give a **** attitude!

The food was ok. It’s a shame that vegetables aren’t served as they used to be and that each meal is plated. It was lovely to be able to help oneself to the vegetables The food was piping g hot ante device was great. Sadly the crème brûlée was missing the brûlée. There was no crunchy top to it, surely a key point of the dish. It was soggy, not crisp and crunchy. Not just mine but each one that was served to us.
