Rockmouse Centre River Villa Hoi An

This hotel is prime location - walking distance from the ancient town. As expected, Vietnam was showing off with its extraordinary temperatures. There were free unlimited bottles of water, which is probably one of the nicest extras to have in this weather. The room and bathroom were small but clean. The host was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and came with a huge variety of fruit. This hostel felt plentiful and was a lovely last destination for our trip.

We were warmly greeted upon our arrival, and our room was ready to check-in. After a day of walking, the lift was a welcome sight. Our room was tidy, with a stocked fridge and snacks. The air conditioning functioned well, and the bathroom had good hot water and cleanliness. We were treated to a picturesque view of the river. During our stay, Lien, our host, graciously shared insider tips on dining and navigating the local markets. Just a brief stroll from the homestay, we discovered a great street lined with stalls offering delicious traditional dishes—a culinary adventure we indulged in repeatedly. Additionally, the street is nice and quiet and the night market is conveniently close by, as is the main town to explore. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast spread was nothing short of amazing—fresh and made-to-order. We would happily stay again.

This was a lovely cheap stay although do not recognise some of the hotels photos the travellers photos are more accurate it is not fancy but the rooms are basic but clean the place was very well placed for the lively bars and restaurants and minutes walk to the river but it is set back so if you want quiet at night you can not hear the loud music in Hoi An town the best bit was the host they were lovely gave us great info gave us a bottle of water each everytime we went in or out of the building they were lovely I would go back we were unlucky it rained every one of our 4 day stay so never got the chance to have breakfast on the lovely roof terrace or use the pool

Excellent locating walking distance of night market and old town. The property is clean, our room had a nice balcony and there used to be a rooftop pool overlooking the river. The owner could not be more helpful and gave us loads of info on Hoi An and places to visit and eat. The breakfast was first class with loads of choice plus fresh fruit on the table. The bottled water is free and you just help yourself. We paid £35 for one night in a family room- exceptional value and a great experience. Would certainly recommend.

The hosts were really welcoming and really looked after us, especially sorting our very early check out. The room was lovely, clean and bright and we had a huge sunny balcony to relax on. The breakfast was really delicious and there was so much food. We didn’t get time to use the pool, but the rooftop views were stunning. We would love to go back and stay longer. The location was perfect, really quiet but right next to all the tourist sites.

The Rock Mouse Villa is located down a quiet street and it is a Homestay family run hotel. It was very hot when I was there and there is free water and you can help yourself to bottles too which was nice. The room was fine and I could see a bit of the river from the window. The tasty breakfast was served on the covered rooftop and was cooked to order. The Villa is in a great location in Hoi An, near the sights and in a quiet area. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and they arranged motorbike hire for me too. Had a very pleasant stay there.

Clean, comfortable room - overlooking the river; very helpful family own the place, highly recommended. The young man on reception spoke good English and could not have been more helpful in organising trips, taxis, maps and so on.

My mother booked two rooms for a group of five people at a nearby hotel but due to some problems, the owner offered my mom and her friends to stay at Rock Mouse Homestay instead. My mom is a keen traveler but it is the first time she has ever stayed in a place where there is no hangers in wardrobe, no soap, toothpaste or toothbrushes in bathroom, no water in minifridge. The worst thing is she made requests for those to receptionist at least twice, the receptionist nodded "yes" but still nothing was done. The AC in her room showed 16 degrees but she merely feeled any cool air while the AC in the other room run out of order at midnight, caused guests to stay up and not have a good sleep. As my mom felt unheard, she had no choice but to complain to the previous hotel's owner, who said she did call Rock Mouse's owner to express guests' concerns and Rock Mouse's owner replied the AC had run well, as guests pressed wrong buttons (?!) (my mom was upset again) My mom has had enough of this bs. She doesnt trust any of two owners, all she cared is that this bad experience ruined her Hoi An trip with her beloved friends.

Wir hatten ein 30 m2 Deluxe Zimmer bei booking reserviert. Das Zimmer, das wir bei unserer Ankunft erhielten, war ca. 12m2 klein. Es gab keinen Schrank oä. Nur einen kleinen Tisch mit 2 Stühlen. Für mehr war auch kein Platz. Auf Nachfrage erklärte uns Frau Mouse, dass das ihr Deluxe Zimmer sei. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir das Hotel gewechselt und sie hat unsere Reservierung bei booking storniert. Dann forderte sie mich auf, die Nachfrage Email von booking zu bestätigen. Was ich auch getan habe, nicht wissend, dass damit eine Bewertung bei Book nicht mehr möglich ist:(. 2 Sterne gibt es für das gute Frühstück und die Sauberkeit des Zimmers
