I've stayed at a few Vienna International hotels but this one was probably the best. The bed was comfortable & the room spacious. Staff were friendly & spoke good English, and had no issue checking in a foreigner.
Hohhot East railway station is a short walk away (though not extremely close to the city centre, as Hohhot East is not located near all that much)

衝著和頤酒店來的，但是實際上發現衹是個掛牌。。。備品都和和頤沒啥關係，是掛名的另一家酒店。。。
服務很迷，不是很專業的樣子，態度也很冷漠，上班一直在聊天打電話。衹有一個女前台還不錯。。。

Our stay at Holiday Inn Express in Hohhot was a pleasant experience, perfect for a transfer stop. The hotel’s location is excellent, conveniently close to both the airport and train station. Our room was comfortable and featured a wide window with a good view, adding a nice touch to our stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, though limited English proficiency was a slight hurdle. DDavid1980The hotel is very nice, clean, and simple, with friendly and attentive staff, which made our stay comfortable overall. However, one key issue significantly impacted our experience. The hotel advertises that it has a gym, which was the primary reason we booked our stay, as we wanted to maintain our fitness routine while away from home and unable to use our usual gym membership.
Upon arrival, we discovered that the ”gym” consisted of only two treadmills and no other equipment. This was extremely disappointing, as a gym should provide a variety of fitness equipment to accommodate different workout needs. Advertising a facility as a gym when it is essentially just a room with treadmills feels misleading.
If your facility only has treadmills, it would be more accurate to advertise it as such, rather than labeling it a gym. A proper gym typically requires a minimum set of equipment, including:
1. Cardio Machines: At least treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes.
2. Strength Equipment: Free weights (dumbbells, barbells) and resistance machines.
3. Functional Training Tools: Items such as yoga mats, kettlebells, or medicine balls.
This would ensure clarity for guests who choose hotels based on their fitness facilities. While we appreciated the cleanliness and service, the lack of transparency regarding the gym was a major letdown.

4. Il personale non parlava bene inglese ma ha fatto del suo meglio per aiutare. Il personale mi ha aiutato a prenotare il biglietto del museo e il taxi.
Sono rimasto 6 notti in totale.
5. La pulizia è buona in generale ma sembra che i bagni non siano mai stati puliti correttamente da molto tempo o che il personale non sappia come strofinare il pavimento e le pareti del bagno.
Contro:
1. I pavimenti del bagno della camera singola al 4° e 6° piano (parte bagnata) hanno le solite macchie da bagno di germi che sono molto facili da pulire con un detersivo per la pulizia del water e una spazzola ma sembrava che il personale non sapesse come pulire. Molto tipico in Cina che il bagno non sia pulito. Anche la tenda ha macchie d'acqua. Questa può essere facilmente pulita mettendola nella lavatrice.
2. La camera singola al 6° piano si sentivano rumori dall'esterno.
Le prime 4 notti al 4° piano, abbiamo dormito, non abbiamo sentito gli ospiti dalla stanza vicina. Altre due notti al 6° piano, abbiamo sentito gli ospiti dalla stanza vicina, e attraverso la porta, sembrava che la porta avesse delle fessure.
Ci tornerò, spero che il bagno venga pulito meglio.

CCurt 常鹰This hotel can be very hit & miss. I have stayed here 3 times and had 3 different experiences.
First things first, though, it is worth pointing out that location is excellent, especially for its price, and staff are always very friendly, and often have a decent level of English, as well as Mandarin & Mongolian (almost every guest I ever see here speaks Mongolian).
My first stay here, I had no complaints. The room was clean, comfortable, & spacious. An excellent room at its price, if just slightly dated.
My next stay was totally different. I was told upon checking in that my room didn't have a shower but I could move the next day. Not ideal after a day of travelling but I was tired so accepted it and went to bed. The next evening, I returned to the hotel & was told I still couldn't move, & had to wait another day (the day I was checking out). I managed to convince staff to let me move eventually as I really needed a shower, & there was a room available - so why couldn't I just be there in the first place?
My third and final stay was also disappointing, though not as bad as the second. Upon checking in, there was a huge group who had checked in just before me - not ideal, but little you can do. But only one elevator was working, and would only hold around 3 or 4 people at a time. So it genuinely took almost half an hour to get to my room. Then, for some reason, the elevator call button on my floor didn't work. Fortunately I found a staff elevator that took me out the back exit and had to use this for the rest of my stay - but that somewhat reduced the convenience of the location.
All in all, while I appreciate the price and location here, I have started using other hotels when I visit Hohhot now.
