Well run multi generational alpine resort. Easy walk to gondola. Beautiful setting. Everyone (owner to front desk to restaurant) wanted to make the stay great. Could not go wrong with that approach. I would absolutely return and stay there.

Not a cheap place, but for the all-inclusive services it offers and the location practically in front of the lifts, likely worth its price. Abundance and variance of food, service, facilities - everything is wonderful, well thought of, really comfortable to use. Late arrival was met with a snack in the room and a lunch box for early departure too. We didn't use the kids-entertainment and looking-after-kids services as our kids are already grown and ride all day long with us, but these services are probably the essence of the hotel, and we saw small kids enjoying their time. Huge playgrounds, no-parent areas, I can imagine this hotel being a paradise for smaller kids. The room sizes, while not being particularly large, were still very generous and comfortable enough, including a door between parents' and kids' rooms.

Simply AMAZING! Everything was perfect, room, food, staff, available activities....It was the second time we stayed at the hotel and will probably go again. Staff is always very welcome to support with anything needed, including taking the kids to external activities.

Great, heartwarming welcome by all of the staff. Very nice and comfortable familyroom for 4, with mountain view. Lovely, varied meals in the evening and extensive breakfast. Recommended place to stay for a super week in Hintertux! Family Vagenende

We stayed here with family and friends for a week of snowboarding at Hintertux Glacier. This is by far the best family hotel we have stayed in. Christian and the team do an amazing job here. The hotel is beautifully finished, the attention to detail is great, it is very clean and very family friendly. The facilities are great and cater for young children through to older children. The team are always happy to put on activities and get everyone involved. Winter sports, live music, sledging, hotel winter games, etc etc. The food is fantastic. Great breakfast buffet, great selection of food for evening meals. The catering team give a (limited) but varied selection of food to chose from evening meal each day including a fabulous buffet. It's great quality, extremely well presented and very tasty local and regional produce. There's even a brilliant afternoon snacks buffet after you come down the mountain from a day of winter sports. Staff are very friendly and very helpful with everything. The wellness facilities are first class and extremely well finished. I don't have anything bad to say about the place. We will definitely be coming back and look forward to staying as guests again with the team at Hintertuxhof! Thanks again to the whole team!

Brilliant stay last week for our family and friends. Fabulous hotel next to the mountain for access with amazing food options and lots of options for our young child to do. Everyone had a blast and we were treated incredibly well by the attentive and very friendly staff and owners. Definitely recommend staying and enjoying the Austrian hospitality and will look forward to coming back

Couldn't recommend this hotel more, especially for families. All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The food selection and quality is superb and the whole place has a real family friendly atmosphere. It's a short walk to the lift up the mountain and you can ski right up to the boot room at the end of the day! We will be back again next year!

I can’t fault this hotel, it’s excellent. We have stayed here several times without children and then this year travelled with our 10 month old. Every year has been great and this year the hotel made it so easy to travel with a little one. All of the baby equipment was provided, was clean, in great condition and all set up for our arrival. The day care was excellent, it was the first time we’d left the baby with non family members but I was reassured by the lovely ladies in the baby room and the care he received. Family rooms have plenty of storage and were cleaned to a high standardevery day. The bar and food is great, highlight for ya was the venison buffet. The bar and restaurant service is spot on. There is also a little play area by the restaurant so we could enjoy a drink whilst the baby played. Overall we are always made to feel so welcome here and this made for a very relaxing ski holiday for our family. We are looking forward to returning!!
