The hotel consists of several villas facing a small lake. We chose a room with a lake view, and the view from the large bay window and the balcony was just stunning! The bedding was comfortable, and tea, coffee, and water were provided. The bathroom was small but had very good water pressure in the shower, and the water was nice and hot. The buffet breakfast offers everything, with a wide selection including fresh fruits, yogurt, typical dishes, pastries, juices… etc… (however, the rolls and croissants were not very fresh during our 3-night stay). The hotel’s pool is also very beautiful, with sunbeds and towels available, and bicycles are provided for free. The reception staff was kind and very welcoming (special mention to AMY!!! Always so smiley and so kind and helpfull). The hotel is ideally located: just a 1-minute walk from Bich Dong Pagoda. The place is peaceful and absolutely gorgeous, like a movie set! There are many cafes and restaurants directly around the hotel. A small boat dock is a 1-minute walk away, and we chose a 1-hour to 1.5-hour boat tour (500,000 VND for 2), which was gorgeous and much less crowded than the one from Tam Coc. We were able to visit everything by bike, through rice field paths, all the way to Mua Caves, without any safety concerns or distance issues. It’s the perfect means of transportation. Compared to other hotels and homestays in the same area, Tam Coc La Montagne is more expensive (probably too much so in comparison), but the place is really beautiful. The only downside of the room was that the door was not soundproof at all, and the old lock was very noisy. Every time someone enters their room, we can hear it. Maybe a bit too pricey in comparison with some other places just near by.
