Extended Stay America Suites - Rochester - Greece

Smokey room, was supposed to be non smoking. Had to wait on front door person over 10 minutes to check in.

When I arrived I realized this was a Hotel that the "less fortunate" rent out and live in pets and all. Which isn't a problem until they're standing around in the lobby doing nothing while you're checking in. And standing around outside the doors of the hotel. But it was booked and I just needed a place to lay my head so I checked in. Not even 30 minutes into my stay I heard what sounded like someone using a key card and rattling a door handle..but I told myself maybe its them going in and out of one of the rooms next to or across from mine.. then it happened a second time a little while after that and I told myself the same thing. Then the THIRD time MY door was unlocked and they tried to push it open but luckily I had secured the latch on the top of the door so it didnt open for them. When I went to the door I saw shadows quickly walking away. And I told myself maybe I was mistaken about what I heard until I was able to just pull the handle of my door no twisting or anything and it opened right up. I went to the front with my belongings told her what happened she seemed "fake concerned" after putting me by myself in a very far area of the hotel.. She asked if I wanted a different room, I definitely declined that, and she gave me a full refund. I was there maybe 45 min. total! Can you imagine what could've happened had I not latched that door! Or if I was away from the hotel for whatever reason and my things were in the room(you can't latch the door unless someone is inside)

There was so much noise and camossion we didn't sleep at all. The room had a kitchen no cups or utensils.

This property need an upgrade and the bed was horrible and extremely uncomfortable. The staff was amazing and friendly though

Nice that there was a kitchenette but it would have been better if there had been dishes, silverware, and glasses.

Pretty rough shape hotel. Noisy and strong smelling. Hotel staff seem unhappy and overworked/overwhelmed

Every thing was fine but it’s not so friendly for handicapped accessibility. The key swipe at the doors aren’t reachable if you’re in a wheelchair

Arrived around 8:45pm, Check in personnel was nice but the system was in the process of being rebooted and we were told a possibly 45 minute wait to check in. Had to leave after a four hour drive and wait until it was rebooted. This hotel should consider having a paper backup system for checking in.

Didn't get room I booked. My 15 year old had to sleep in a separate room. My room was in a state of disrepair. Very noisy - walls/ceiling paper thin. Continental breakfast was more of a light snack... no juices.
