The hotel is beautiful, we stayed in a swim up room which was incredible. The main pool and bar are perfect too with great service and plenty of sunbeds and space in the pool to relax. It's got a great relaxed atmosphere everywhere in the hotel. We had a treatment at the spa also for an additional charge and that was a great experience. The spa also has a free to use indoor heated pool which is super relaxing. The gym is well equipped to get a good session before a day of chilling out too. The best part of this hotel for us though was the staff. They are just incredible and really made our holiday what it was, our waiter Yannis in the restaurant was so accommodating and friendly and really made us feel welcome.

Just returned from a week at Tui blu Insula Alba, it was our first ever swim up room and we loved it, our only gripe was that there was no parasol to shade you from the sun. We did ask at reception but they said it wasn’t possible to supply one. Our room was cleaned every day, which was nice and the maids work really hard and are very friendly. Apart from the freshly cooked omelette’s we were a little disappointed with the breakfasts, the dinner of an evening was good but never varied much from day to day, the desserts were the best part, so many to choose from. We dined on our last night in the cullinarium which was very nice and was waiter service, this was only available for one night of your stay and had to be booked in advance. We swapped our dinner for lunch on one occasion and ate out at a traditional Greek restaurant called Sirtaki, which was delicious and would strongly recommend, the owners were all very friendly and even gave us complimentary drinks at the end of our meal. We extended our room on the last day which we glad we did, but is cheaper to do this through Tui before your holiday as it was a lot cheaper than doing through the hotel. There were 2 bars, the main pool bar which we only used a few times and the quieter piano bar, the drinks at the hotel were expensive so we went out every night to a bar across the road called Achino’s, we got very friendly with one of the waiters who would chat with us most nights. ( Edward ) Overall the hotel is nice and we would return but only to a swim up room.

Great hotel , lovely staff- the town is nice calm and welcoming so savour Analypsi and THAT sunset view every evening, Crete is breezy but it saves you from being baked alive, the swim up rooms are amaze we were lucky enough to have the rear facing ones . Just fab. Food- food was good, my advice? Go half board and eat out support the village - we did and some great places to eat locally. The best bit? The value for money . Very happy thank you

TERRIBLE ROOM DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL OR WIT TUI. The room had next door toilets pipes coming through our room. There was no sofa bed as promised.so one of us had to sleep on a chair. The room was smelly from the rubbish outside our balcony it looked like a pig farm.Itess the worst room ever. I complained but nothing was done. I seen the rep Claire she said complain again I did when I got home and TUI did nothing. DO NOT BOOK WITH TUI

I just arrived back from a 10 night stay at the Insula Alba where we had a wonderfully peaceful and restorative time in calm, clean surroundings. We booked a swim up room that fortunately had direct sun from midday to sundown, which was lovely. I noticed that some of our neighbours on the block were not so fortunate due to the layout of the building blocking some of the light, so felt very lucky to have the room we had. Both pools were of a good temperature and depth (though as someone who stands at just over five foot, I was mostly swimming or treading water) My main highlight was the desserts served at the restaurant, each one was incredible and was something I looked forward to daily. Especially the orange cube fudge thing? I never did discover what it was, but it was really tasty. Whoever is in charge of creating them is really doing a great job! The friendly and attentive staff were a highlight too, particularly Eleni at the restaurant and the front desk staff who were so helpful and welcoming. I had such a lovely time here the ten days flew by and I didn’t want to leave. Will be sure to come back and visit this hotel (and resident cats) again in the future!

We had a fantastic time again at Insula Alba. All the staff were welcoming and attentive and would do anything for you. In particular, the warmth and humour of Dimitris in the restaurant (and room service) was a joy to share at the end of each wonderful day of our holiday. This very personal rapport was also experienced with Manos, Vicky and Tasos at the pool bar. We enjoyed spending time in the a la carte restaurant both in the evening and lunch time. Rafaela and Georgia were always smiling and happy to see us! The hotel is in such a beautiful setting and we can’t recommend it enough!

swim-up room complete waste of money, water so cold painful getting in and no better once you were in, took the breath of you and a pleasure getting out, no parasols provided to keep the sun of you, the main pool water same some parasols provided there, did complain to reception about the coldness only to be told there was an indoor pool which was heated, who goes on holiday to a hot country in summer pays a lot extra for a swim-up room but uses an indoor pool instead. On a plus point cleanliness really good, staff excellent both at the bar and restaurant, tips not expected for service. Would return if not for the temperature of the pool water.

I always find a negative in most hotels I stay at, but not this hotel. Excellent 2 week stay from start to finish. Food was delicious and the staff (all staff) are excellent. Special mentions to Manos, Eleni and Nikos who all go above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay. We stayed in room 1009 (swim up) which was excellent. Comfy bed and mini bar replenished daily if all inclusive. Bottle of wine and raki in the room on arrival and a personal letter thanking us for choosing to celebrate our anniversary at their hotel. It is very rare I return to the same hotel but would not hesitate in returning to Insula Alba. Totally faultless!

If I could rate this hotel 6 stars I would. I have been to many Tui hotels of the same rating and this one has something special! Manos and Kostas at the pool bar are PHENOMENAL and both truly make the holiday - I really really hope they are here next year for my 30th! They create a wonderful atmosphere - wonderful bar drinks, always filling everyone with laughs! The staff are beyond friendly and could do not more for you - I have never experienced such care and passion for jobs. The hotel and facilities are incredibly clean and the rooms are amazing! Mira my room maid was so lovely and wonderful too!
